Top Ten Tuesday #20 – Top Ten Sequels I Need
This week on Top Ten Tuesday is about the Top Ten Sequels we are looking foreward to the most. And wow, there are still quite a few – and I hope it’s OK to not only talk about 2nd books in series… because I’m truly looking forward to the next story in several of my favorite series! Some of my sequels don’t even have covers yet, but I still want them, and I want them now!
Top Ten Tuesdays is a fun meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, where we share our excitement for books, and I really like how this meme makes me think about the books I read, why I read them, and who to recommend my favorite reads to. So, here we go, as usual, my list is in no particular order :
Up from the Grave (Night Huntress #7) – Jeaniene Frost. Because I can’t wait to read more about Cat and Bones and all their yumminess, as well as the big mystery they’re trying to solve.
Daylighters (Morganville Vampires #15) by Rachel Caine. I both want this, and then I kind of don’t either. This will be the last book in the Morganville series.
Illusion (Chronicles of Nick #5) by Sherrilyn Kenyon. I am very curious as to where this series will go next, and I’m a huge fan of Nick, so I hope I’ll enjoy it.
The Undead Pool (The Hollows #12) by Kim Harrison. I only discovered this series this past summer, and I read the first eleven books, plus an anthology within just a month. Needless to say, I love Rachel and her merry band of sidekicks!
The King (The Black Dagger Brotherhood #12) by J. R. Ward. Yeah, I want me some Wrath!
The Fiery Heart (Bloodlines #4) by Richelle Mead. Adrian, oh Adrian. What will you try next?
The Hidden Rune of Iron (Spellcrackers.com #5) By Suzanne McLeod. I can’t wait to read more about Ginny, especially because of the way book four ended!
The 6th book in Stacia Kane’s Downside Ghost series doesn’t have a title yet. But I want to read it right now anyway. I can’t wait to read more about Chess and Terrible.
Written in my own Heart’s Blood (Outlander #8) by Diana Gabaldon. I don’t think Jamie and Claire need an introduction. There is time-travel, romance and history galore!
And, last, but not least: Skin Games (Dresden Files #15) by Jim Butcher. Yeah, Harry was in a pretty bad place in the last book, and I need to see how he’ll get out of it this time.
Thanks for stopping by today, have a terrific Tuesday, and happy reading.
I’m embarrassed to admit, I haven’t read any of this series! Oops. I hope you enjoy them though!
Don’t be embarrassed, Chrissi! I’m sure you have read books I haven’t read in series I haven’t heard of 🙂
Thanks for stopping by.
Yay for Fiery Heart! I cannot wait to read more about Sydney and Adrian! Great list!
I agree, Chel, more Sydney and Adrian is going to be awesome 🙂
Thanks for stopping by.
I’m hanging out for Cat & Bones as well as BDB but I’ve already gushed over them so I went for 10 different ones this time round.
I’m very curious to find out who you chose this time, then, Vilia 🙂
Thanks for stopping by.
Cannot wait for Up From the Grave, Fiery Heart and Undead Pool either!
Here’s my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!

Thanks for stopping by Liesel 🙂
We have a VERY similar list Lexxie! I’ve been missing Cat & Bones, Nick, Wrath, Rachel, and Chess & Terrible so much! I need my fix 🙂
Yes, we definitely have similar taste, so it’s no wonder our lists are similar as well, Traci:)
Thanks for stopping by.
Oooh, great list, Lexxie. Of course, the only series I’m actually caught up on is Bloodlines…but I look forward to getting caught up on all those series. The only series on your list I HAVEN’T read is Spellcrackers, Outlander *hangs head in shame*, and The Dresden Files.
I hope you’ve had a lovely day, Lexxie! *hugs*
Outlander is such a huge series, though, those books are enormous. But I do love them. The Spellcrackers series is awesome, and it happens in London, which is a plus for me 😀
My day has been awesome, thanks. I hope yours has been as well. *hugs*
LOVVEEE your list. So many awesome books that I need in my life already!!

Doris @ Owl Always Be Reading
I know, I both love and hate TTT for that very reason. I always end up adding ever more books to my enormous TBR 🙂
Thanks for stopping by Doris.
I haven’t read most of those series. I’ve only read the first book of the Morganville vampires and Bloodlines. I probably need to catch up!!
Eh, there are just so many series, and so many books that it is impossible to read them all.
Thanks for stopping by Megan 🙂
Oh, I didn’t know J R Ward was writing another Black Dagger book! *runs to Goodreads to add on to TBR list* Thanks for the heads up! 😀
Yep, Im looking forward to The Fiery Heart as well! The name alone brings me tingles; wonder how good the book is going to be! 🙂
Fahima @ I Read, Ergo I Write
Oh yes, and the next book is all about Wrath! I’m really excited about that.
Thanks for stopping by Fahima.
I love that you read UF books too, I’ve been overdosing on YA lately and need to get some intelligence back by reading UF lol. Can’t wait for the final Cat & Bones installment.
UF is a must in my book-world. But I read pretty much anything non-fiction, I love immersing myself in a new and different world, with creatures that (hopefully) don’t exist for real 😀
Thanks for stopping by Jeann.
Those are some great choices! I haven’t read any of those but have been seeing Feary Heart a lot.
Thanks for stopping by my post! 🙂
I’m behind on Harrison and Frost, but I cannot wait for Daylighters (sadness) and Fiery Heart. And I haven’t tried Chronicles of Nick or anything by J.R. Ward yet. Happy reading, Lexxie.
