Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #85
Welcome to Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts, an original weekly meme hosted here at (un)Conventional Bookviews. So many of the books I read have food or drinks in them, some I’d love to try, and others I’d never ever want to taste… and I thought it could be interesting and fun to share some food and / or drink quotes… If you want to participate, you can grab my logo if you’d like, or you can make your own, but please link back to me in your own post.
The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Please link up beneath, and visit other bloggers who are participating in Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts as well.
Now that I have finished reading Magic Binds by Ilona Andrews, I have more quotes to share, so today, I give you a Hungry Hearts quote that really shows the essence of Kate’s character!!
The cake would have alternating tiers: the first would be chocolate cake with a white chocolate mousse filling and white chocolate buttercream, and the second would be white chocolate with raspberry mousse and white chocolate frosting. They told me I could have whatever I wanted, and if it was the last cake I would ever eat, I wanted it to be as chocolate as it could get.
The colors were green, pink, and lavender, because when I closed my eyes and thought of a happy place, I saw the Water Gardens with lotuses blooming in the water.
Thanks for stopping by today, I look forward to reading your Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts quote. Have a terrific Thursday and don’t forget to link up.
This cake sounds delicious. I loved all the wedding planning moments especially with Roman as the wedding coordinator.
I agree, that cake sounds fantastic, and the wedding planning moments were so much fun!
Yummy, yummy cake! You had me at chocolate with white chocolate mousse filling. Thanks for sharing and making me very hungry!
I love the sound of this cake, but I don’t really want it for breakfast. I’ll have to re-read the quote after lunch 😀

I don’t have a recipe, but I would like to recommend this really cool vietnamese pho (noodle) recipe book called the Pho Cookbook (https://s2.netgalley.com/catalog/book/93538) if you are keen on it.
I love eating it, but too much work to make
Oh yeah! I love Vietnamese food, Ailyn! I’m very lucky, too, my neighbours are Vietnamese, and they sometimes share with us *sighs* So good!

Yum. Very chocolatey indeed. But I love the raspberry thrown in! Variety 🙂
Made me think of Sugar Daddy when she gets him the cake and he hates raspberry! Lol!
Chocolate and respberries go SO well together! 🙂
Sugar Daddy!! I think I’ve used at least one quote from that one as well.
Yes, if I can only have one last cake I’d want it to be as chocolate-y as possible too! I love the colors she chose and why though. 🙂
Happy Thursday, wife! I hope you’re having a great day so far. It’s snowing here so it’s a good day. 😀
**BIG HUGS** Miss you!
Ha! We shall have chocolate cake in Atlanta, then 🙂 It’s gotten really cool here, and our heating wasn’t working :O luckily, it is repaired now, but at first, we thought we had to replace the furnace!
{{{big hugs}}} miss you, too !
