Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #59
Welcome to Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts, an original weekly meme hosted here at (un)Conventional Bookviews. So many of the books I read have food or drinks in them, some I’d love to try, and others I’d never ever want to taste… and I thought it could be interesting and fun to share some food and / or drink quotes… If you want to participate, you can grab my logo if you’d like, or you can make your own, but please link back to me in your own post.
The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Please link up beneath, and visit other bloggers who are participating in Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts as well.
There were SO many amazing and sexy innuendoes involving food in Fully Ignited by Shannon Stacey, I just had to share another one this week.
My Hungry Hearts Quote
“I’d love to come up and share your chocolate pudding,” Scott said. “I’ve worked up an appetite.”
As she unlocked the side door that gave residents access to the interior stairwell, Jamie decided that was the problem with innuendo. She didn’t know if he’d worked up a sexual appetite for her, or if he’d literally worked up an appetite from playing hockey with the guys and was going to try to eat all of her pudding.[…] “You’re the first woman who’s ever given me chocolate pudding after sex. You do realize you might not get rid of me now.”
She laughed. “That pudding was supposed to be my reward for making it an entire week without having sex with you.
“You almost made it.”
Thanks for stopping by today, I look forward to reading your Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts quote. Have a terrific Thursday and don’t forget to link up.
Definitely a cheeky quote, and there were many more of those here, Anette 🙂
Så fint at småsko og vårjakke er ‘in’ igjen for dere! Det er alltid deilig å ha lengre dager og lyse kvelder 🙂
So I’m guessing by those quotes he was being literal. 😉 I love those quotes, Lexxie! “You almost made it.” LOL I really, really must read some Shannon Stacey. 🙂
Wow, this week is going by fast! Hope you’re enjoying it! **BIG HUGS**
Haha, yes, it was so funny, and he might not have been completely literal, he wanted both her and the pudding 😉 *BIG HUGS*
haha.. i like what the pudding implies 🙂
I loved that, too, Sya!
I love it! Funny mix of food and sex…and who doesn’t like chocolate pudding after? Or…as a reward for a week with no sex. LOL.
I know, I found that to be so well done, and both funny and sexy, too 🙂
Chocolate pudding…you can never go wrong with chocolate pudding. This sounds like such a fun scene. I really need to read this book.
I agree… chocolate cures all 🙂 I hope you’ll enjoy this as much as I did, Carole.
Fun little excerpt!! I don’t like chocolate pudding, but I could go for chocolate ice cream right about now. 🙂
Chocolate ice cream works, too, Lauren 🙂

You can jump on MY pudding anytime! Bwahaha!
And I’m late because my mind and to-do list is all scrambled up like a salad.
LOL Braine 🙂 Those innuendos were so much fun!
Oh they sound like fun 😀 And now I want pudding…
LOL, it’s strange how that happens, eh?
Hahaha I love the quote. That is too funny that she couldn’t tell if he was serious or not, and it does sound like she’ll never get rid of him after that lol. Too cute!
LOL, I’m not sure she actually wants to get rid of him after that, Kristen 😉
