Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts
Welcome to Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts, an original weekly meme hosted here at (un)Conventional Bookworms. So many of the books we read have food or drinks in them, some we’d love to try, and others we’d never ever want to taste… and I thought it could be interesting and fun to share some food and / or drink quotes… If you want to participate, you can grab our logo if you’d like, or you can make your own, but please link back to us in your own post.
The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Please link up beneath, and visit other bloggers who are participating in Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts as well.
My quote this week is from The Triangle by J.A. Huss and Johnathan McClain. I’m not much of a brandy drinker but this one sounds like I might like it if only I could afford it! 😉
The office is a large room with floating shelves lining one wall. There are no books on them, just…art. Probably priceless art, knowing Alec. And there’s a large executive-sized desk made of steel and glass. Fits with the decor, I suppose. And two chairs in front of the desk with a small glass table between them on which sits a bottle of brandy so nice even I’ve heard of it, and two snifters, both with the appropriate amount of liquor in them.
…
I take a sip of brandy. I don’t care much for brandy, but I’ve had enough of it in the company of Alec to appreciate the taste of this one as it goes down.

Thanks for stopping by today, I look forward to reading your Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts quote. Have a terrific Thursday and don’t forget to link up.
I don’t think I’ve ever actually had brandy, so I wouldn’t know the good stuff from the bad. LOL
LOL Tanya 🙂 I’m not a big fan of dark alcohol, so I have no idea either. It does sound smooth, though 🙂
I’ve only tried it once and even though it was a decent brand I’m still not a fan. 🙂
Ooh… smooth brandy. Nice ?
I’m not a huge fan of dark alcohol – or even strong alcohol except for in mixed drinks. Give me wine, beer or a frozen strawberry daquiri 😉 The way Brandee’s quote is written makes the brandy sound good, though.
Oh yes. Lol. Maybe I’ll go visit my Dad to try some of his…. 😉
I’m not a brandy drinker but I liked the quote 😉
My Thirsty Thursday post…
I’ve never had brandy before but I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t like it even if I had. Great excerpt, though! 😀
I’m not a fan of brandy either, Stephanie. But try it at least once. 🙂

Sounds like a man w/ money 😉 I don’t think I’ve ever tried brandy, but I’d like to because I’m curious what it tastes like!
LOL Yep. 😉 He’s very cultured. You should try brandy at least once. 🙂
