Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #44

Welcome to Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts, an original weekly meme hosted here at (un)Conventional Bookviews. So many of the books I read have food or drinks in them, some I’d love to try, and others I’d never ever want to taste… and I thought it could be interesting and fun to share some food and / or drink quotes…  If you want to participate, you can grab my logo if you’d like, or you can make your own, but please link back to me in your own post.

The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Please link up beneath, and visit other bloggers who are participating in Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts as well.

I recently read Friction by Sawyer Bennett, and it was so good! Full of romance, erotic moments, hotness and also tenderness. My Hungry Hearts quote this week is for the first time Reeve brings Leary home with him… and he has very big plans for the night.

My Hungry Hearts quote:

“Going to make us an early dinner, I’m thinking lemon pasta with blackened chicken.”
“You’re going to cook?”
Reeve stands up, pulling a pack of chicken an three lemons from his fridge. He gives me a knowing look with a touch of sympathy. “Yes, I’m going to cook.”
“I don’t understand,” I say as I cock my eyebrow at him, and Chico nudges me again. I absently pet the dog’s head.
“I’m going to cook,” he says again with an annoying smirk.
“You’re going to cook?”
Throwing the chicken and lemons on the counter, Reeve walks up to me. His hands rest lightly on my waist. Bending down so his nose almost touches mine, he says, “This conversation is a little redundant, so let me clarify for you. I’m going to cook us an early dinner. I’m loading us up on protein and carbs, because after said meal, I intend to take you back to my bedroom, and then I’m not letting you out of said bedroom until morning. With me so far?”

Thanks for stopping by today, I look forward to reading your Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts quote. Have a terrific Thursday and don’t forget to link up.
