Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #39

Welcome to Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts, an original weekly meme hosted here at (un)Conventional Bookviews. So many of the books I read have food or drinks in them, some I’d love to try, and others I’d never ever want to taste… and I thought it could be interesting and fun to share some food and / or drink quotes…  If you want to participate, you can grab my logo if you’d like, or you can make your own, but please link back to me in your own post.

The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Please link up beneath, and visit other bloggers who are participating in Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts as well.

I continue finding delicious food quotes these days, and today, I’m sharing a Hungry Hearts quote from Love Revolution by Michelle Mankin.

My Hungry Hearts Quote:

He moved into the kitchen, motioning for her to take a seat on one of the barstools. “Make yourself comfortable. You’ll be my muse. I want to cook for you.”
JR was a Food Channel addict. The admitted foodie was as picky about what he ate as he was about what he wore. She had teased him relentlessly about it. “You really do cook?” She raised and eyebrow.
“Yeah, baby.” He winked. “In the kitchen, too,… when I can. You ok with steak again? I’ve got tenderloin.”
“Absolutely.” She grinned. “I’m from Texas. We eat steak for breakfast.”
JR started pulling out pots and pans. His kitchen was decked out with all the latest high end stainless steel appliances. He set out a small pan and a skillet on the gas cooktop before putting a couple of filets on the counter to bring them up to room temperature. Then he started prepping for a sauce to go on top of them.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a terrific Thursday, and don’t forget to link up!

  1. Ooh, I love this! 😀 Of course, you do realize that Texans don’t all eat steak for breakfast…right? 😉 I’m sorry I’ve not been around and I’m late linking…I’m sick. Again. Must be the stress from band. *ha* They placed 7th overall. They were disappointed but we were proud of them. I’ll try to catch up here over the next few days. Hope you’re having a great week! MISS YOU!! **BIG HUGS**
