Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #17

Welcome to Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts, an original weekly meme hosted here at (un)Conventional Bookviews. So many of the books I read have food or drinks in them, some I’d love to try, and others I’d never ever want to taste… and I thought it could be interesting and fun to share some food and / or drink quotes…  If you want to participate, you can grab my logo if you’d like, or you can make your own, but please link back to me in your own post.

The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Please link up beneath, and visit other bloggers who are participating in Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts as well.

Just like last week, my quote for today is from Marci Lyn Curtis’ The One Thing, not only did I totally love this story, the sarcastic heroine got me at every single turn, too!

My Hungry Hearts quote from The One Thing:

Now, I was generally opposed to health foods. In my experience, the tasted like either dirt of air – like something nasty or like nothing at all. Also, I figured the preservatives in my diet would keep me alive longer, just by virtue of the fact that they were, well, preservatives.

Thanks for stopping by today, have a terrific Thursday, and let me know if you’ve found any interesting food or drink quotes lately.

  1. LOL That’s a good way to look at things! 😉 This gal sounds like someone I’d love to hang out with, Lexxie! I’m guessing The One Thing needs to go on my tbr?!?

I hope you’re having a grand week, my dear! I’m so glad you got all your papers done and turned in, save one. I hope your students are treating you well. 🙂 My week has been a crazy one. Today is the last day of school and I’m going to have my kiddos home. *sigh* I’m rather looking forward to it. 🙂 I’m going to post a picture of my ‘little’ ones from their Continuation. Happy Thursday!! **BIG HUGS**

    • Me, too, Brandee! And I’m sure that those preservatives will preserve me as well 😉

I’m very happy I got all my papers turned in as well… now, I can concentrate on other things for a few weeks before I start preparing the next one 😉 I hope both you and the kids are happy they’re off school for the summer! *BIG HUGS*
