Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts #15

Welcome to Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts, an original weekly meme hosted here at (un)Conventional Bookviews. So many of the books I read have food or drinks in them, some I’d love to try, and others I’d never ever want to taste… and I thought it could be interesting and fun to share some food and / or drink quotes…  If you want to participate, you can grab my logo if you’d like, or you can make your own, but please link back to me in your own post.

The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. Please share the title of the book it happened in, as well as the character who ate or drank the special little something you discovered between the pages of a good read. Please link up beneath, and visit other bloggers who are participating in Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts as well.

Today, my quote is from Darynda Jones’ Third Grave Dead Ahead, and Charlie is doing everything she can to stay awake 😉

My Hungry Hearts quote:

Eating would keep me awake for at least another five minutes, and my one goal in life for the past couple of weeks was to stay awake at all costs. The alternative was exhausting. After an epic search, I finally found something neither green nor fuzzy. It was a hot sausage link. I named it Peter, mostly because I liked naming things and partly because it seemed like the right thing to do.

Thanks for stopping by today, have a terrific Thursday 🙂 Please not that I’m at RT this week, so I won’t be able to get back to you straight away.

  1. A strange thing to do..naming a sausage, he he 🙂 Jeg tror nesten jeg må lese denne boken, for å finne ut mere av sammenhengen 🙂 Ønsker deg en flott torsdag, her har vi fridag og den skal nytes fullt ut 🙂

  2. I figured I’d better read this one since you took time away from RT fun to post it. 😉 Hmm, I’m not sure how I’d feel about naming something I’m about to consume, but whatever works for Charley! 😉 You know what I’d like to do right about now? Share a bottle (or 2) of champagne with YOU! **BIG HUGS**
