Theme Song - (un)Conventional Bookviews

When Life’s Kicking Your Butt, How About a Theme Song? Β Rock It Out

The theme song meme is hosted by Robyn over @ Robgirl Books, and I’ve been following Robyn as well as Jaclyn and Brandee and the music they’re sharing every month. It really looks like fun, and since I love music almost as much as I love books, I figured I might as well participate too, right?

For the month of January, we’re supposed to share songs that we truly rock it out to. I have many of those, but for some reason, I come back to these two:

Disclosure: You and Me remix. I love this song, especially from 1 minute on, when the off-beat is so strong it’s impossible to not dance, and go a little crazy while listening.

I’m also a huge Muse fan, and most of their songs will make me rock out completely. This one is very apt for the general feeling in Europe these days, though :

I think I’m with music the same way I’m with books, I’m pretty much an omnivore – I listen to classical music, indie, rock, punk-rock, pop, and I look forward to sharing my musical tastes with you for the Theme Song posts πŸ™‚

    • I actually don’t really know much about their other songs, but I love You and Me – it’s so quirky, strong and good.
I’m glad your kids enjoyed it for breakfast πŸ™‚
Muse is the best!! I have been to see them twice in concert.

    • What a cool marching band, Lee! I bet they had a blast playing Hunger Games themed songs, and something that is so modern, too.

  1. You have great taste in music Lexxie! Love both songs, especially Flume! I use to be able to play one of Muse’s song Sunburn on the piano…but have since long forgotten πŸ™

    • Thank you, Shan πŸ™‚ Music is a very important part of my life – just like books are πŸ™‚ I used to be able to listen to songs on the radio, then play them on the piano, too, alas, not anymore.

    • Yeah, Muse is particularly amazing, I agree, Robyn πŸ™‚ Music just makes the world go ’round! I used to play different instruments when I was younger, I wish I hadn’t stopped.
      Have a great day πŸ™‚
