The Sunday Post #63 – Weekly Wrap-up
Welcome to my Sunday Post. Thank you to Kimba over at The Caffeinated Reviewer, who is hosting this weekly event. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.
This was the last week of classes for me, both when it comes to teaching, and when it comes to being a student. I am off from Uni for a long while, if we don’t count those pesky papers I have to write (four!) and one written exam (6 hours!) that are due in January next year. On Wednesday, we are leaving for Norway, to celebrate Christmas with my family, and we’re all really excited about it. We have a huge surprise for the children for Christmas – one I will share with you next Sunday.
I will only have a few posts up next week, as I’m not going to be around much. I don’t want to spend my family time online, but I do have three reviews plus my WoW post ready to go. After that, the blog will be more or less empty until January 2nd, apart from my Sunday posts.
I wish you all a happy holiday, and whatever it is you are celebrating, I hope you’ll get to do it surrounded by people you love, and that you enjoy spending time with.

Have a wonderful time with your family! Safe Trip!
Enjoy your time off, I wasn’t able to take any time off this year since I ran out of days at work but I am hoping to figure something out next year so I can take the week of Christmas off.
Love Surprises can’t wait to hear what it is!!!
Have a very Merry Christmas, Lexxie! Happy Reading! ox
Thanks, Michelle 🙂 I guess one of the perks of being a teacher is I get the same vacations the kids get 😀

Glad you’re able to go home to see your family. Can’t wait to hear what your surprise is. I think a lot of people will be on hiatus for next week. I’ve got Top 10 for 2015 and that’s about it.
I’m sure a lot of us will be on hiatus, it’s nice to spend time with the people we love. I’m not even going to bring my computer with me 😀
I may do a top ten post actually, we’ll see.
How thrilling to be able to spend time with family in Norway and we can’t wait to hear the news about the surprise! Glad you get to have some time for you for a little while! Hugs…RO
I am so looking forward to our trip, Ro. It’s been so long since I saw my sister last. *hugs*
You’ll get those pesky papers done in no time. Yay for traveling and family! And surprises! I can’t wait to hear about the suprise. *wiggles in chair* Safe travels and Merry Christmas. 🙂
Hehe, I’m pretty mean, aren’t I? Getting everybody all excited about my surprise 😀 Merry Christmas to you, too!
Oooo a Christmas surprise! I wonder what it will be. I hope you and your family have a great Christmas, and see you back online in the New year 🙂
Thanks, Natalie 🙂 Have a great Christmas yourself.
Good luck with your papers!! I hope you have a fantastic holiday 😀
Thanks Tracy 🙂 I can’t wait to see everyone!
Your holiday in Norway sounds wonderful! I have always wanted to visit Scandinavian countries, since my grandparents were born and lived to adulthood in Sweden. My grandmother’s stories were the best. (And I know that Swedes and Norwegians are at odds, but I still think of them all as being part of a wonderful region).
Enjoy! Can’t wait to learn more after your holiday about the Christmas surprise.
Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
We’re only pretending to be at odds, Laurel-Rain… and my grandma was Swedish, too 🙂 You should try to take the trip over one day, both Norway and Sweden are beautiful countries!
Yikes to the papers and exam! Good luck with those in January.
Have fun with your family and happy holidays!
Thanks, Samantha 🙂 I don’t really feel like working right now, but I kind of have to!
Happiest of Holidays to you and your family Lexxie^^ I hope you all have a wonderful time in Norway, enjoy some well deserved downtime and HAVE FUN 😀 I wish you lots of bookish goodness and all the best in real life and on the blogosphere ♥
Thank you, Micheline! I look forward to family time so much I can hardly sleep these days 😀
Merry Christmas, Lexxie! I wish you and your family a holiday filled with love and laughter and good food! 😉 Oh, and happy surprises too. 😀
<3 **BIG HUGS**
Thank you Brandee! I wish all the same to you and your family! *BIG, BIG HUGS*
4 papers and a 6 hour exam? Yikes! Good luck with them and enjoy your family time!
Yeah, the 6 hour written exam scares me a little bit, to be honest.
Good luck on the papers and exam when you get to them. I’m glad you are currently on a break though – enjoy your family!!
Thanks, Lauren 🙂 Family time is the best!
Have a great time with your family in Norway! Happy Holidays!
Thank you, Tiffany! Happy Holidays to you, too.
Have a brilliant time in Norway and enjoy!
Thanks, Cleo 🙂
Happy holidays to you too Lexxie! <3
Also, best of luck on those exams and papers. T o T I can totally understand – last week was the worst for me (getting ~two hours of sleep each night was NOT healthy). Either way, holiday time is the best time so that's something to look forward to.
Hope you have the BEST time at Norway! *sends all the cheer*
Thanks, Alia 🙂 I can’t wait to spend some nice, lazy days with my family.
You’re such a tease! I can’t wait to hear your surprise! I bet it’s a vacation, right? And do you know how weird it sounds to me when you write things like, “oh, we’re going to Norway to visit family,” like it’s just a quick flight, no biggie. Which I’m sure it is, but it’s weird for me to phantom how close all the countries are to each other over there. It’s a huge deal for me to cross the border to Canada! I can’t even do it right now b/c I don’t have credentials. I’d get locked out of my country!
Jeez… I’m babbling… Merry Christmas to you and your family! Safe travels!!!
LOL Kristin. I guess I am a tease, and it isn’t a vacation…
The flight from Geneva to Oslo is only about 2.5 hours, so yeah, it’s just a quick flight. Europe is very different from the US – it would be more like you were going to another state, not to another country.
Thanks for stopping by, Kristin, and Happy Holidays to you, too.
Hope you have a wonderful time with family! Merry Christmas
Thank you, Nise’ 🙂
That is a lot of work to do over the holiday break, if you have a break from Uni! I’m not even your kid and I’m excited to know what the surprise is. 🙂 I hope you enjoy the holidays in Norway! I can’t imagine what all goes into the travel. Just driving a few hours (3-4 on average in TX between MAJOR cities) is an undertaking.
Yeah, it definitely is a lot of work I have to do over break. Thanks for stopping by, Charlie 🙂
Have a lovely holiday with your family in Norway, Lexxie! I’m excited to hear what the big surprise is. I think I know!!!! See ya soon:)
I should have a competition and see who guesses right, Laura 😉 Thanks for stopping by.
Not much of a break when you have that many papers to write. Sucks. I hope you have fun with your family this week!
I am pretty sure I’ll have fun this week, Jennifer! Thanks for stopping by, and happy holidays.

A holiday in Norway sounds so fun, and I am sure it will be a wonderful time for you and your family! However your papers and a 6 hour exam just sounds like way too much work. Good luck with that! Merry Christmas to you and yours as well as a Happy New Year!
Now we’re leaving in just a few hours, and I’m so excited, Lorna! I’m not too happy about my papers, but they have to get done. Have a wonderful holiday!
Enjoy your holiday, and have a lovely time in Norway! I’m sorry you have to work on papers over your break, though. Merry Christmas!
I’m not going to start working until we get back from Norway. I had big plans on finishing one paper before we left, but I haven’t so I’m just going to try to enjoy myself now 🙂
I hope you’ll have a great time in Norway!
Thank you, Annemieke 🙂
