The Sunday Post #40 – Weekly Wrap-up

Welcome to my Sunday Post. Thank you to Kimba over at The Caffeinated Reviewer, who is hosting this weekly event. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

This week has been another full one! I’m still in Spain, and on Wednesday, my mom and my niece arrived as well. Yesterday morning, my husband and the boys left to go back home, before going elsewhere on hockey-camps. Yesterday was my mom’s birthday, and today is my oldest daughter’s 20th birthday. And so, we have so many excuses to eat good food, have fun, try a new wine and just have a great time together. One of my daughter’s friends has arrived, too, but now, the apartment is full of girls 🙂 It’s great to see my youngest daughter with her cousin, as they don’t get to see each other very often, and they’re almost the same age. They do have a little trouble with the language barrier, though, as one only speaks Norwegian, and the other only speaks French 😉

I got my new kindle voyager this week, and I love it! Sadly, my not-so-old kindle was starting to act up, turning off, and just being difficult. I guess that can happen when you read as many books, and keep it going for as much as I do. I have to admit I am happy with the new one, though 😉

    • Yes, we are definitely enjoying Spain, Brandee. The weather is just gorgeous, almost a little on the too hot side, which is why I love that we have airconditioning 😉
One day, we’ll share a sangria de cava here, by the beach, chatting about books! *BIG HUGS*

    • Yup, Spain is one of my favorite places to go on vacation, and I’m staying here with my youngest until a week before school starts up again in late August 🙂 Do you want some cake, too? 😉
You’re welcome, ginormous books are definitely intimidating!

  1. Lexxie your very fortunate that you can enjoy an OS trip with your family 🙂 I’d love to be able to go to Spain, I’m Filipina so a lot of our language has Spanish in it.

Your having the same week as my June month, busy, busy, busy…2 out of 4 kids + Hubby had birthdays in June, the other was in May, and one was born in March…yes March 2015 LOL the 3 are my step-kids, but I consider them mine regardless as my son is their brother.

    Sunday Post.

    Have a great blogging/reading week!

    • WOW, you were very busy with birthdays, too, Angelica! Plus you have a tiny baby 🙂 My husband is in August, then, the fourth of our children in September… But July is definitely a busy month for us when it comes to parties 😉
We are definitely fortunate to be able to travel like we do, especially because Spain (where we are now) is only a seven hour drive from our house!
Have a great week, Angelica 🙂

  2. I love the cover 🙂 I don’t have a cover for mine I really should get one.
You sound like you had a busy house with all those people but I am sure it was great to be surrounded by them all! I love being at the shore house with my family, they drive me nuts but its always fun.

Saw your books yesterday so I hope you enjoy them all.
Have a great week Lexxie! Happy Reading oxox

    • Yup, you should definitely get a cover for your kindle, Michelle it’s a lot of fun to choose one 😉
Ha! I know what you mean about being with family is lovely and fun, but also drives us crazy…
Have a great week yourself xoxo

  3. Yay! I got the Voyage this week too and love it. I have a Fire HDX, which I love, but my eyes have been craving a different screen. I love your case. I haven’t found one yet. There are so many to choose from. How is the case working out? I may try that brand if you like it.
It sounds like you have a lot of good things happening with your family. Enjoy!

    • I love the Voyage, it’s SO small, Suzi! And the cover is really nice – I just picked one with different purples on, as that’s my favorite color (in case you hadn’t guessed that just yet 😉 )
Thanks for stopping by! Have a fantastic week ahead.

  4. Happy Birthday to your mom and daughter! I hope they both had a great day! And that’s nice your daughter can interact with her cousin, although that sounds like a dificult language barrier to overcome Do you speak both languages?
I like the look of your new kindle and the skin, it fits your blog colours ;).
Have as great week and enjoy your vacation time 🙂

    • Thank you Lola 🙂 They both had fantastic days, and it was so nice to spend them together 🙂

Yes, I speak both Norwegian and French, so sometimes, I had to help them by translating.

I guess it’s pretty easy to guess that I love all different shades of purple, eh?

    • Yeah, I think I could stay here year-round, Heather…

I think those kindles are designed for readers who aren’t as active as we are, Heather. I really do hope this one will last for a very long time, though… it takes time to set everything up, but all my highlights transferred, so that was a bonus!
