The Sunday Post #39 – Weekly Wrap-up

Welcome to my Sunday Post. Thank you to Kimba over at The Caffeinated Reviewer, who is hosting this weekly event. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

Our first week of vacation in our holiday home in the north of Spain has been nothing short of amazing! The weather has been gorgeous, we’ve been hanging out at the beach, eaten fresh fish, had some good Spanish wine, and spent lots of quality time together. On Friday, my youngest daughter turned 10, and we celebrated her birthday the whole day, starting with breakfast in bed, complete with a visit from her godfather who is also on vacation, pretty close to where we are. I’ve read quite a few books, and now, I need to find the time to review them as well. COYER is in full swing, and I’m having a lot of fun with the scavenger hunt!

  2. Oh, I’m envious! I’ve not travelled in Europe much (at all, really) but would love to at some stage.

I visited Portugal very briefly (6wks) in the mid 1990s when I was travelling to work in Africa – to learn basic Portuguese. It was amazing though it was the first time I’d been overseas and I think I was a little shell-shocked!

  4. Your daughter’s 10th birthday sounds fabulous. I remember my daughter’s 10th (way too many years ago!) as a slumber party with ten friends…and no sleep for me. LOL

Speaking of Spain, my eldest son was just there for a two-day layover, on his way to California for a visit, after living in Berlin (and Czech Republic) for more than eight years. I can’t wait to see him again…and meet his wife.

Enjoy your books…and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  5. Happy belated birthday, #4! 🙂 I’m glad you’re having such a spectacular time so far in Spain, Lexxie. But then, I figured you would. 😉 What is the time difference between us now? Any chance we can chat over wine? Or perhaps I’ll have to have a morning champagne? *haha* I hope your second week is going just as splendidly as the first did. **BIG HUGS**
