The Sunday Post #87 – Weekly Wrap-up

Welcome to my Sunday Post. Thank you toΒ Kim over at The Caffeinated Reviewer, who is hosting this weekly event. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

It was a nice, slow week for me – no classes to teach, and after my exam on Monday, I was basically having the rest of the week off. It’s been a nice and lazy week, and I really think that was much needed! On Friday evening, my oldest daughter had an art exhibition on a boat, and I helped her set everything up. You should check out her Facebook page and her Instagram if you’re interested in seeing some of her work πŸ˜‰

I don’t really have a lot to share, so let’s just get to this week’s Freddy pictures, what do you say? I’ve also included a short video clip of him running on his little legs, due to high demand πŸ˜‰

As you can see, he left the ball behind, which really made me laugh πŸ™‚ Usually, he brings it back to me, but refuses to let me have it πŸ™‚

Freddy sleeps - (un)Conventional Bookviews

Tired puppy – he’s so cute when he sleeps, I just want to cuddle him all the while, but since he’s growing, he is a bit heavy to hold for hours πŸ˜€

  1. Woohoo for summer vacation from school! πŸ™‚ Hope you enjoyed your break after the exam. Ah Freddie, he is a cutie!

Had a slow week of tedious tasks that needed doing, but once in a while I don’t mind after fast-paced stuff.

    Have a good week, Lexxie!

  2. Well, hello ! Thank you for sharing my post it really means a lot to me πŸ˜€
That little dog of yours is the cutest thing ever <3

  3. Fun video! That is cute how he just kinda dropped it on the way back, and just left it. Glad you had a nice week. and congrats to your daughter- how exciting!

  4. Awww… cute little Freddy!

An art exhibition on a boat sounds like a great idea and I must check out her FB page!

Yay for no classes, but how did your exam go? I hope you were happy with it and you were able to predict the question.

    • πŸ™‚ He’s the cutest dog I know, Deb πŸ˜‰
My exam went well, I did get one of the questions I really wanted, so I was able to make a lot of connections to all the other texts we had read during the semester. I will get the result at the very end of June πŸ™‚
The art exhibition was great – it was just a small part of the full event, but it was great to see my daughter’s paintings elsewhere than at home πŸ˜€

  5. Freddy is so cute! My dog also grabs his toys, and runs for the hills too! I always have to chase him around, which at least is good exercise. I love lazy weeks, but tomorrow I have to get up and go shopping. I don’t like shopping, but at least it’ll be done for the week. How was the exam? Hope that it went well. πŸ™‚

  6. A nice slow week is definitely needed at time. And after all the hard work lately you definitely deserved a little rest.
Freddy is still sooooo cute. Loved that video clip.
My week was busy with getting all the laundry done after our vacation, and planning for our wedding. Super exciting. Next week it’s back to work for me.
Have a great week and happy reading! πŸ˜‰

  7. Nothing better than a relaxing week! Freddy is such a cutie. I just love watching our puppies run around the back yard. I just bought a pool for them to play in maybe I should get a few pictures if they actually get in it. Have a great week!

  8. I love your daughters art! She makes such amazing stuff. (I already follow her)
Enjoy your break! OMG FREDDY!!!! I can’t get enough of how adorable he is with those little legs and all that fluffy.

I hope you have a fantastic week, Lexxie! Happy Reading! ox

    • I love weeks like this, Lillian πŸ™‚ Hopefully, I’ll have a few more before I start seriously working on my thesis πŸ˜€
I’m sorry your little guy has asthma! Both I and my youngest girl have asthma, too, but we’re OK with some dogs – which we were very happy to figure out when I finally agreed to have a dog πŸ˜€

  9. She had an art exhibition! That sounds wonderful! You must be proud πŸ™‚
Oh, little Freddy is growing so quickly! But he is so adorable.
I’m excited for your reviews this week – seems like you’ve read some good stuff!

  10. Yay for slow weeks! They’re truly the best! And please keep sharing the weenie dog pictures! I love seeing them every week! I hope you have an awesome week! πŸ˜€

  11. Is that your backyard in Spain or Switzerland? It’s so green and cozy. And is that you talking in the background? You have to make a video for us one of these days, Lexxie πŸ™‚

    • That’s my yard in Switzerland, Braine. In Spain we have an apartment with no yard – but the beach close by.
And yes, that IS me talking in the background. One day, maybe I’ll make a video, but then I’d have to fend off Kristin, Kim, Brandee, Berls, Michelle and Stormi – they would have been happy to have me talk about the weather when we were in Chicago :p πŸ˜‰

  12. Look at him go! So adorable! Love your daughter’s work. Thank you for sharing the links. I am glad you were able to relax some this past week. You’ve been so busy as of late that it was well deserved. I hope you have a great week, Lexxie!

  13. An art exhibition on a boat sounds so fun! And also like the setting of an Agatha Christie book. πŸ™‚
Freddy is growing, but he’s still just as cute. Baby does the same thing with any toy, even playing inside with soft, stuffed toys. She’ll come up to you and rub it all around, expecting you to grasp it and take it from her, but she won’t let go!

    • Ha! I hadn’t thought of that being the perfect setting for an Agatha Christie murder, Charlie πŸ™‚ Good thing nothing bad happened πŸ™‚
Tug-of-war seems to be the only real game we can play with Freddy for now. He does run a lot to get toys if I throw them for him, both balls and a frisbee – and if I have one of each, he’ll let go of one to get the other πŸ™‚

  14. Sounds like a nice and relaxing week, must be nice after all the hard work you did this year so far to have some time off to relax.
An art exhibition on a boat? That sounds fun! And that’s so awesome she got to display her art there. I checked out her facebook page and her art looks great!

Gah that Freddy video is too cute, to see him running so fast on those little legs. And he is so adorable all curled up like that in that picture. And I can imagine he gets heavy if you hold him for long. I hope you’ll have a great week!

  15. Glad you had a fairly easy week! Coming into summer now and it’s time to relax a bit! And yes, Freddy is super cute with that ball. πŸ™‚

  16. Freddy is so adorable! Freddy gives me doggy fever lol. Congrats on your daughter’s art exhibit. Enjoy the rest of your week. Happy Reading!

  17. I’m glad we both were able to do some relaxing last week. I know we both were needing it! And congrats to #1 on her art exhibit. That’s fantastic!!! I love the video of Freddy. He’s so darn cute. I’m glad you shared that. Thanks for the shout-out!! <3 <3 **BIG HUGS**
