The Sunday Post #1 – Weekly Wrap-up

Welcome to my weekly wrap-up post. I am signing up with Kimba over at The Caffeinated Reviewer, who is hosting this weekly event.

This week’s posts:

This week’s reviews:

COYER and other challenge updates:

I have reviewed quite a few COYER books so far, you can find a list on my COYER Challenge page. So far, I have read 17 books for COYER, well, almost – one was a DNF.

I have also started to make a dent in both my LGBT 2015 Challenge and in my 2015 TBR Pile Challenge. And for my 2015 Bookish Resolution Challenge, I can report that I have read quite a few of the books I already own, and also that I have not had a cigarette since Monday afternoon!

Elsewhere in the Blogosphere:

Brandee @ Bookworm Brandee shares her whole family’s theme songs for January in her When Life’s Kicking Your Butt, How About a Theme Song? post.

Braine of Talk Supe shares her Gush & Gripe for the new year.

Kimba @ Caffeinated Reviewer has a great post about Cleaning up and Refreshing.

What have you been up to this past week? Don’t forget to leave me a link so I can come visit your Sunday Post as well.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’ve enjoyed your weekend, and that next week will be filled with awesome!

    • Thanks Laura 🙂 I have my pesky shelves on Goodreads, so I know which books can count towards both COYER and other challenges I participate in 🙂

    • It’s the early days yet for the smoking… I hope I’ll be able to keep staying away from cigarettes once my classes start again!

    • Don’t forget that I also don’t have classes these days, Iza 🙂 And I have all my shelves on Goodreads to make sure I read my challenge books, which really helps.

    • It hasn’t been as hard as I thought it would be, Laura, but I haven’t been to class yet this year…
      Thanks for stopping by.

    • Yeah, I know it’s not over yet when it comes to smoking… I have to stay vigilant!

Thanks for stopping by, Katherine 🙂

  1. You can totally do this, I am two years smoke free, it’s not easy but you can do it I know you can. Just think of how healthy you already are by just stopping for these 6 days.

You guys are killing COYER I am so happy, the review linky is already past 120 reviews that’s amazing! So proud of you all 🙂

Have a wonderful week Lexxie! oxox

    • I know I can do it, Michelle. I have to stay strong! I had stopped smoking for almost ten years when I started Uni again… and of course, I was drawn to all the smokers 🙁
WOW, over 120 COYER reviews already is really amazing! I’m having a lot of fun with COYER, I have so many books to choose from, so that really helps.
      Happy reading, Michelle.

  2. I am sort of unofficially trying to read from my e-reader…Sparky. There are so many “out of sight” books there. I made a handwritten list so I could see the titles and cross them off.

I enjoyed Kimba’s Clean Up and Refresh Post, as Bloggiesta is coming next weekend.

    Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

    • LOL I would really love to know which ‘out of sight’ books Sparky is helping you hide, Laurel-Rain 🙂 I hope you’re enjoying all those hidden gems 🙂

    • I have read a lot of novellas, Berls, so that’s why there are so many books – even if I have hardly read anything at all compared to Angie and Laura 🙂
      Have a great week!

  3. You’re doing great on COYER- 17 books, wow. I haven’t even done one yet- sad I know. I just read hard copy books so much… but I do have one waiting on my Nook. LOL. Hope you have a great week. Nice post on freedom- it’s just so ridiculous these thig keep happening.

    • I have almost only e-books, Greg, and on top of that, I’m a notorious one-clicker 🙂 I think I have about 300 books to choose from, so it’s really not hard to just read right now.
      Have a great week.

  4. Wow! Sounds like you’re doing fantastic 🙂
Good job with quitting smoking, I used to smoke almost 2 packs a day until 2 years a go..ouch! I quit with the electronic cigarette (vaping), but unfortunately I haven’t been able to quick that, although I’ve been down to 0 nicotine for over year.
Most of luck with that! I really hope you succeed 🙂

    • I went cold turkey, Loupe, I didn’t want to switch one addiction for another, we’ll see if I can make it 🙂
Have a great week and happy reading.

    • My challenges actually update automatically thanks to Nose Graze and an amazing plugin Ashley made 🙂
      Happy reading Ronyell.

  5. Oh! Congrats on the not smoking part. I tried, but failed. Haha! I’m also trying to clear my unread books off the shelves so I’m on a No New Books For Now challenge. 😀 Hope this week will be nothing but amazing for you!

    • Thanks Nyze, I hope I’ll be able to continue.

I think it’s a good idea to do a no new books for now challenge! I have so many books I need to read, too, but I’m incapable of resisting new books.

    • Oh, music is already shared 🙂 You know I can’t resist the fun memes, right?

I am quite happy with how well I’m doing in my various challenges, I have to hurry up with the HW challenge, though, I’ve only read two books, and I have signed up for four per month.

      Happy reading, Brandee. *BIG HUGS*
