STS #131 – Bought Borrowed & Bagged #81

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is all about the latest additions to your library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  you will be reading soon. Bought Borrowed and Bagged is a homage to to Barron’s Books and Baubles from KMM’ Fever series, and is hosted by Braine over at Talk Supe. Without further ado, here’s what I bought, borrowed or bagged this past week:

Mr. Perfect cover - (un)Conventional BookviewsMr. Perfect by J.A. Huss

Wanting the perfect man doesn’t make me crazy. I just know what I like.
A powerful billionaire in a suit wasn’t even my first choice. McAllister Stonewall was never on my radar, I didn’t even know he existed.
But I do now.
His hands are all over me at work. The heat of his chest pressing against my bare back as he bends me over the desk is the only thing on my mind.
He is my most forbidden desires unleashed. He is my new secret obsession. He is my Mr. Perfect.
Until the moment I realize… There’s no such thing as perfect.

The Dream Thieves cover - (un)Conventional Bookviews The Dream Thieves (The Raven Cycle #2) by Maggie Steifvater

Now that the ley lines around Cabeswater have been woken, nothing for Ronan, Gansey, Blue, and Adam will be the same. Ronan, for one, is falling more and more deeply into his dreams, and his dreams are intruding more and more into waking life. Meanwhile, some very sinister people are looking for some of the same pieces of the Cabeswater puzzle that Gansey is after….

Blue Lily, Lily Blue cover - (un)Conventional BookviewsBlue Lily, Lily Blue (The Raven Cycle #3) by Maggie Stiefvater

There is danger in dreaming. But there is even more danger in waking up.
Blue Sargent has found things. For the first time in her life, she has friends she can trust, a group to which she can belong. The Raven Boys have taken her in as one of their own. Their problems have become hers, and her problems have become theirs.
The trick with found things though, is how easily they can be lost.
Friends can betray.
Mothers can disappear.
Visions can mislead.
Certainties can unravel.

Six of Crows audiocover - (un)Conventional BookviewsSix of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Ketterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be had for the right price – and no one knows that better than criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. But he can’t pull it off alone.
A convict with a thirst for revenge. A sharpshooter who can’t walk away from a wager. A runaway with a privileged past. A spy known as the Wraith. A Heartrender using her magic to survive the slums. A thief with a gift for unlikely escapes. Six dangerous outcasts. One impossible heist. Kaz’s crew is the only thing that might stand between the world and destruction – if they don’t kill each other first.

  1. Lots of great books. I´ve been wanting to read Maggie Stiefvater´s books, but so far they are only on my readinglist.

  2. I’ve only ever read one Maggie Stiefvater book but the ones in your post sound really good so I think I maybe need to give her another go! I hope you enjoy reading all of your new books and that you have a great week.

  3. Oh I have been curious about that new JA Huss series. I haven’t read any of her books but these sounded interesting!
I have tried to get into the Raven Cycle books but I am just not feeling it. I have been on book 1 forever! (Seriously, I think I started last summer!). Maybe one day it will work for me!
    Have a great week!

    • She’ll be at BEA, too, and I can’t wait! I have read several of her other books, and really enjoy her writing. I want to try to catch up with the Raven Cycle, though, as she’ll be signing the next book in the series in Chicago.

  4. Enjoy your new books! I’ve never read Maggie Stiefvater, but I’m curious. I haven’t posted my Stacking the Shelves yet, as I’m engrossed in the Read-a-Thon. Enjoy!

  5. I heard good things about the Raven Cycle series, did you enjoy the first book? I haven’t read anything by that author before. Same with Leigh Bardugo, haven’t read any of her books either, even though I heard lots of good things about it. I do own Shadow and Bone , just haven’t read it yet. And I hope you’ll enjoy Mr Perfect as I know you’re a fan of that author her books. It does sound like a good one!

    • I did enjoy the first Raven Cycle book, Lola, and I have read several other Stiefvater books, that I loved, so I’m looking forward to continuing this series.
I haven’t read any Leigh Bardugo, though, and I want to read at least one of her titles before BEA.

  6. I really enjoyed The Dream Thieves. I’m probably about 40% of the way through Blue Lily (although it’s been awhile since I picked it up). I keep getting distracted and wanted it to be fresh in my mind for the last book. I definitely plan on finishing it soon. Happy weekend!

  7. I can’t wait to chat about Mr Perfect. And Maggie’s series…some day I’ll get to start that one! 😉
I hope your weekend was wonderful! **BIG HUGS**

  8. Oooh… The Raven Cycle series! I have the first book, but haven’t read it yet… I need to get to it and get it done!
