STS #60 – BB&B #10

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is all about the latest additions to your library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  you will be reading soon. BB&B is a homage to to Barron’s Books and Baubles from Karen Marie Moning’s amazing Fever series, and is hosted by Braine over at Talk Supe.

So, I truly went a little click-happy this week… And it’s not my fault! Lola of Hit or Miss reviewed Under My Skin, and I just had to request it. That’s how good her review was! And Melanie reviewed Polar Bared over on Rabid Reads, and that made me think of how much I missed Eve Langlais sexy stories filled with humor… So I kind of one-clicked four of her books. I can’t remember who told me about the Rock books, but I had to pick up those that were free. Because I don’t have enough books on my kindle for the COYER challenge *coughs and blinks innocently*. Also, several publishers suddenly accepted many of my (old) requests on Netgalley, and I kept getting e-mails telling me I could go to my dashboard to download their books. While that made me squee with happiness, it’s also a little scary… Because there are so many books, I’ve made the covers smaller than usual, and I have not included the summary, but the link takes you to the book’s Goodreads page. Without further ado, here’s what I grabbed this week:

  1. Yes! Maybe Not! It was a surprise from CoHo, and she hadn’t advertised it at all before it was released. I hope you’ll enjoy it, Bieke 🙂

  2. I’m glad I’m not the only one who went a little click-happy this week! The Thanksgiving week sales were just too tempting. Maybe Not was so, so good and I can’t wait until it’s time for me to read Garrett. I loved Alex. I think I’ll love Garrett just as much.

    Happy reading!

    My StS + a Giveaway!

    • Yes, between sales, freebies and all those Netgalley requests going through, it was an amazing week for me 🙂
Garrett was so good, Kim! Very different from Alex, but really good.
      Have a great weekend, Kim.

  3. That’s definitely a lot of books, yes. I hope I’ll be able to read them all very soon 🙂 Have a great weekend, Melliane.

    • Good going, Christy! It’ really hard to stay away from the good deals, especially when those deals are for books we’ve been lusting after for a while.
      Have a great weekend 🙂

    • I now, right? I still sneak in lots of books for fun, but I have fewer classes this semester than the last.
      Have a great weekend, Jessi.

    • That’s quite the dilemma, now, isn’t it, Charnell? I’ve actually already read two of them, but that means I still have over twenty to choose from 🙂

    • I read a review for Soulprint that made me just have to have it, Braine. I’ll let you know what I think pretty soon 🙂 I haven’ t read much YA lately either, but I think I’m inspired to do so now.

  4. Ha! I’ve finally read one of the books on your TBR list! I’m nutty for Victoria Dahl. She was one of the speakers at the writers’ conference I went to and to prepare I read a couple of her books. I’m hooked. She’s really funny in person. During her speech she said she belongs to a secret group of writers but she can’t say who’s in the group or she’d have to wear a penis hat for a day (Ann Aguirre nodded to this so I’m thinking she’s in the secret group too). Happy reading! I hope you have a wonderful week, Lexxie!

    • I agree, Victoria Dahl is awesome! And that Jackson Girls Night Out series is so good! I was laughing so hard at the penis hat, Robyn, I think I need to talk to Ms. Aguirre at one of the parties in RT next year and find out more about this secret writers group 😀

  5. Haha, there is no shame in getting a little click happy.Especially because you didn’t have enough on your kindle for the challenge. 😉 I can’t wait for Soul Print (I have the UK version) read most of hers so *fingers crossed* it’s good. 🙂

    • I haven’t read any books by Madison yet, but I’m really looking forward to Under My Skin! Being click-happy can be both good and bad, Kirsty-Marie, and most of the time I’m quite happy with everything I get 🙂

  6. Your haul makes me feel soooo much better about mine. 😉 You picked up some great looking books though. I’m excited to see your opinions on them. I hope you can squeeze in lots of reading time so you can knock those off Mt. TBR, my dear. But mostly, I hope you enjoy them.

I’m back home and have to return to reality today. I spent yesterday doing laundry and grocery shopping. Oh, and I fit in Lord Rakehell, too. 🙂 I hope your weekend was wonderful!! **BIG HUGS**

    • LOL I’m so happy I could make you feel better, Brandee 😛 I’ll get to these when I can. There are some I’ve devoured already, though, and reviews are coming up pretty soon.
I hope you’re having a great week, my dear. *BIG HUGS*

  7. I really hope I’ll enjoy it, Lyn. When I saw that it was going to be part of a blogtour and I could get a review-copy, I jumped right on that chance 🙂
