On the outside, Dina Demille is the epitome of normal. She runs a quaint Victorian Bed and Breakfast in a small Texas town, owns a Shih Tzu named Beast, and is a perfect neighbor, whose biggest problem should be what to serve her guests for breakfast. But Dina is…different: Her broom is a deadly weapon; her Inn is magic and thinks for itself. Meant to be a lodging for otherworldly visitors, the only permanent guest is a retired Galactic aristocrat who can’t leave the grounds because she’s responsible for the deaths of millions and someone might shoot her on sight. Under the circumstances, “normal” is a bit of a stretch for Dina.
And now, something with wicked claws and deepwater teeth has begun to hunt at night….Feeling responsible for her neighbors, Dina decides to get involved. Before long, she has to juggle dealing with the annoyingly attractive, ex-military, new neighbor, Sean Evans—an alpha-strain werewolf—and the equally arresting cosmic vampire soldier, Arland, while trying to keep her inn and its guests safe. But the enemy she’s facing is unlike anything she’s ever encountered before. It’s smart, vicious, and lethal, and putting herself between this creature and her neighbors might just cost her everything.

Home (Social Media #6) – J.A. Huss

I just want my Grace back.
I want the girl I found sending me dirty tweets on Saint Thomas. I want the girl who reluctantly gave in to my charms and let me boss her around. I want the girl who sent me to my knees and made me imagine what her fairy tale would look like with me in it.
I just want to move on.
I want to plan the future and think about kids and preschools and college funds. I want everything she ever wanted, and I want us to make it happen together.
But the media needs more from us. More dirt. More pain. More payment for past transgressions.
You can’t change the past. And even though Grace is ready to put her demons to bed, mine are just starting to get restless. Because when you’ve silenced as many enemies as I have over the years, you know that secret won’t stay buried forever.

Annith has watched her gifted sisters at the convent come and go, carrying out their dark dealings in the name of St. Mortain, patiently awaiting her own turn to serve Death. But her worst fears are realized when she discovers she is being groomed by the abbess as a Seeress, to be forever sequestered in the rock and stone womb of the convent. Feeling sorely betrayed, Annith decides to strike out on her own.
She has spent her whole life training to be an assassin. Just because the convent has changed its mind doesn’t mean she has…

    • Jules, I only just discovered Clean Sweep, but it was actually released last year. It’s a great story, I’ve already read it 🙂
      Thanks for stopping by.

    • Home is the last book in the social Media series, and really, it’s amazing. I didn’t like the characters all that much in the first book, but with each new installment, they did or said something that made me totally swoon.
      Thanks for stopping by, Marilyn.

    • Yeah, I just got introduced to His Fair Assassin this fall, and I loved the first two books so much I just had to get the last one as soon as it got out.
      Clean Sweep was amazing, Grace!
Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend.

    • I was the same way, Kim, and then I suddenly read two books in a week, and I was impatiently waiting for the next one 🙂 Thanks for stopping by.

  1. I LOVED Clean Sweap. They write this as a serial that they post chapter by chapter on their blog, then later release the entire book. Book two Sweep in Peace is partway up on the blog now. I haven’t read any of it. I like to wait and buy the entire book when it is available on audio (I’m hoping they’ll do book two as an audio too). I hope you enjoy.

    • I loved Clean Sweep, too, Melanie, and I already read all of the eight chapters that are up for Clean Sweep… Now I’m so impatient! I think you were very smart to wait for the full story.
      Thanks for stopping by.

    • I already read Clean Sweep, Melliane, and I have also already read the first chapters of Sweep in Peace…
      Thanks for stopping by.

  3. I want to read Clean Sweep! I just finished Burn for Me and I want more Ilona Andrews. And I’m so behind on JA Huss’ stuff. I haven’t even started her Social Media series. Happy reading, Lexxie! I hope you have a wonderful week!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful week yourself!

  4. Ooh, I want Clean Sweep! 🙂 And I saw that Mortal Heart released so I was expecting it to be on our list. 😉 Home…*sigh* Have you started it yet? You grabbed some great reads this week, Lexxie! I hope you have time for some pleasure reading soon.

Happy Monday! I hope your weekend was grand. Mine was good – Berk’s concert was fabulous! She played Vivaldi’s Concerto in DM with accompaniment. It was beautiful. 🙂 I hope you’ll have a wonderful week, my friend! **BIG HUGS**

    • Clean Sweep was so good, Brandee! You are going to love it so much. I haven’t had a chance to read Mortal Heart yet, but I finished Home yesterday 😀 Very good! I loved Grace so much.

My weekend was pretty uneventful, but I think I really needed that. I am back in classes again, and feel busy already, but I have decided to take one less class than what I started the semester with. I have felt so frazzled lately.

I’m so happy Berk’s concert went so well! And I hope you filmed it so you can show me in May 😉 *BIG HUGS*
