STS #138 – Bought Borrowed & Bagged #88

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is all about the latest additions to your library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  you will be reading soon. Bought Borrowed and Bagged is a homage to to Barron’s Books and Baubles from KMM’ Fever series, and is hosted by Braine over at Talk Supe. Without further ado, here’s what I bought, borrowed or bagged this past week:

One Was Lost cover - (un)Conventional BookviewsOne Was Lost by Natalie D. Richards – thank you Sourcebooks Fire!

Damaged. Deceptive. Dangerous. Darling. Are they labels or a warning? The answer could cost Sera everything.
Murder, justice, and revenge were so not a part of the plan when Sera set out on her senior camping trip. After all, hiking through the woods is supposed to be safe and uneventful.
Then one morning the group wakes up groggy, confused, and with words scrawled on their wrists: Damaged. Deceptive. Dangerous. Darling. Their supplies? Destroyed. Half their group? Gone. Their chaperone? Unconscious. Worst of all, they find four dolls acting out a murder—dolls dressed just like them.
Suddenly it’s clear; they’re being hunted. And with the only positive word on her wrist, Sera falls under suspicion…

Charm is the key to the world.
Charisma, magnetism, sex appeal—that ‘it’ factor that can’t be described.
Nolan Delany has it is spades.
The infamous Mr. Romantic.
And maybe he is out of my league… But I’m going to give it the old college try anyway. Because I didn’t travel two thousand miles for a job interview at his request just to be put out like trash.
Don’t underestimate me, Mr. Delaney.
I’m really not as innocent as I look.

Allegiance of Honor (Psy-Changeling #15) by Nalini Singh

The Psy-Changeling world has undergone a staggering transformation and now stands at a crossroads. The Trinity Accord promises a new era of cooperation between disparate races and groups. It is a beacon of hope held together by many hands: Old enemies. New allies. Wary loners.
But a century of distrust and suspicion can’t be so easily forgotten and threatens to shatter Trinity from within at any moment. As rival members vie for dominance, chaos and evil gather in the shadows and a kidnapped woman’s cry for help washes up in San Francisco, while the Consortium turns its murderous gaze toward a child who is the embodiment of change, of love, of piercing hope: A child who is both Psy…and changeling.
To find the lost, protect the vulnerable—and save Trinity—no one can stand alone. This is a time of loyalty across divisions, of bonds woven into the heart and the soul, of heroes known and unknown standing back to back and holding the line. But is an allegiance of honor even possible with traitors lurking in their midst?

Media Audio cover - (un)Conventional BookviewsMedia (Social Media #4-6) by J.A. Huss

Vaughn finally realizes Grace is much more than a submissive he can control. He wants more. More of everything. More nights together, more mornings together, more years together. They connect in a way he never imagined. He wants the happily ever after and he wants it with Grace.
But everyone has a past, and Grace and Vaughn are about to come face to face with people they thought they left behind. Real life collides with fantasy and only facing the truth will get them through.
Is Vaughn really a hero? Or does he just play one on TV?
And does Grace really need saving? Or is she stronger than she thought?

  1. One was lost sounds quite interesting! I don’t get many horror/thriller type books catching my eye these days but I like the sound of this and will further investigate! Enjoy your books!

  2. One Was Lost sounds spine-tingling. Hope it turns out good. Oh look, Allegiance of Honor. I’m not that far along in the series, but I hope you enjoy it.

  3. Ooh nice! Seeing One was Lost a lot today! Just now taking the time to read what it’s about I find I’m very intrigued! So many of my thriller reads tend to be YA, so weird! Also weird that I can be picky about the ones I read too! LOL! This one sounds awesome though! Hope you enjoy them all!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂
