Blogtour Review: Tackling the Tight End – Tara Lain

Blogtour Review: Tackling the Tight End – Tara Lain

Welcome to my stop on the Tackling the Tight End blogtour. I have my review and favorite quotes as usual, and there are other goodies here for me to share with you as well! This Blogtour is hosted by Enchantress Design and Promo. Tackling the Tight End is the third instalment in Lain’s Long Pass Chronicles series, and it features the ‘bad guy’ from the first book as one of the main characters. The story is filled with conflict, both external and internal, and it was sweet in some moments, and pretty dark in others. At the beginning of Tackling the Tight End, I had a little bit of trouble getting into the story being about Dennis, he was such […]

Blogtour Review: Driven Snow – Tara Lain

Blogtour Review: Driven Snow – Tara Lain

Driven Snow has all of Lain’s trademark wonders, the romance, the laughs, the heartache, the misunderstandings and characters that just make you want more! Welcome to my stop on the Driven Snow blogtour hosted by Enchantress Design & Promo. I am a huge Tara Lain fan, so when I saw that there was a review opportunity for her newest Pennymaker Tales story, I jumped right on it, and I am so happy I did! My Driven Snow review: What was really refreshing in Driven Snow was that both Snow and Prince were accepted as gay by their families, and Snow was out on campus as well. Prince, being the star quarterback of the college was only out to his coach, […]

Blogtour Review: Sinders and Ash – Tara Lain

Blogtour Review: Sinders and Ash – Tara Lain

Sinders and Ash is the most campy re-telling of Cinderella I have ever read – and I loved every word of this magical modern fairy tale! My Sinders and Ash review: Sinders and Ash follows Cinderella’s story, but not too closely. First of all, Sinders and Ash are both guys, and Ash is supposed to find himself a wife so he can keep his trust-fun. Mark (Sinders) works in housekeeping in a luxury hotel, and he’s usually hiding his stunning beauty by wearing a cap and glasses so that nobody will take notice of him. One of his main chores is to clean out the many fireplaces, and this brought to mind both Cinderella and the youngest brother in traditional […]

Review: Two Minutes – Dannika Dark

Review: Two Minutes – Dannika Dark

Two Minutes is more dramatic than the prior books in the Seven series, because there are some even more serious parts to the plot this time around. My Two Minutes review: I always enjoyed Maizy in the Seven series, how she interacted with the shape shifters, and how she and Denver became fast friends, despite their age difference. In Two Minutes, Maizy is all grown up, and she’s been away from her home for several years, studying first elsewhere in the US, then in the UK. Once she comes back, Denver is completely taken aback – at first he doesn’t even recognize her, but thinks she is his blind date for the evening. Because it had been several years since […]

Blogtour Review: Shades of Treason – Sandy Williams

Blogtour Review: Shades of Treason – Sandy Williams

Shades of Treason is a gritty, dark Science fiction / Fantasy novel with harsh tones and a definite thriller-like feeling as well. My Shades of Treason review: Political intrigue, betrayal, war. Shades of Treason is a fast-paced story where the two main characters, Ash and Rykus are like two planets, with all the other characters in orbit around them – reacting to their actions and trying to follow in their wake. The action happens both through discussions and thoughts as well as actual fights, hand-to-hand combat, scaling cliffs and shooting. Ash is strong, she’s not completely human, but called an anomaly. On top of that, she’s been given drugs to make her stronger, faster, and more cunning. Shades of Treason […]

Blogtour Review: My Cowboy Promises – Z.A. Maxfield

Blogtour Review: My Cowboy Promises – Z.A. Maxfield

Welcome to my stop on the My Cowboy Promises blogtour, hosted by Enchantress of Books Blogtours. I have my review to share with you, as well as an international giveaway and an excerpt! My Cowboy Promises review: My Cowboy Promises truly showed how difficult it can be to be different in a small town. Firstly because Andi and Ryder got married just after high-school, and then had Jonas. Secondly because their relationship really wasn’t what it seemed like on the surface, and for those watching from the outside. Especially the way they both put Jonas first in every important decision they made had my heart flutter for both of them! Because they were showing the world what it wanted to […]

Review: Three Hours – Dannika Dark

Review: Three Hours – Dannika Dark

Three Hours has become my new favorite Dannika Dark story! Very well done, great balance between fights, intrigue and romance, and the characters really showed me what they were made of! Ever since the Seven series started, I have been curious about both Naya and Wheeler, and having them be the main characters in Three Hours was a real treat! Both are strong-minded, loyal to a fault and takes not bullshit from anybody else. Wheeler has always been quite mysterious, he never cared how others judged him based on his grumpy disposition and numerous tattoos. Even when his own pack and brothers would rather choose Ben over him, he let it slide, even if id didn’t sit well with him. […]

Blogtour Review: Winter’s Wolf – Tara Lain

Blogtour Review: Winter’s Wolf – Tara Lain

Welcome to my stop on the Winter’s Wolf blogtour, hosted by Enchantress of Books Blogtours. I have my review to share with you today, as well as my favorite quotes and an international giveaway! So come on in and get comfy with Winter 😉 My Winter’s Wolf review: Winter’s Wolf blew me away! Winter is a great character, and I loved how true to himself he stayed throughout the story. Matt, the FBI agent we met in Wolf in Gucci Loafers had a very important part to play, too.  I loved how Damon, Winter’s father, changed his outlook on a lot of things as well, because at the beginning, he was slightly homophobe, had very strict views on human / […]

Blogtour Review: Four Days – Dannika Dark

Welcome to my stop on the Four Days blogtour, hosted by Enchantress of Books Blogtours. I have my review to share with you, as well as my favorite quotes, an excerpt and there’s also a giveaway! My Four Days review: I’m just going to fangirl about Four Days for a paragraph right now. There will be squeeing, bouncing and much happiness! I loved Ivy and Lorenzo, the writing was really good, and there were epic fights, a horrendous villain and just lots of awesomeness all around. Now that the squeeing is out of the way, let me tell you about all the things that made Four Days a fantastic read. The character development was outstanding. Ivy seemed so very shy […]

Giveaway and Blogtour Review: Canning the Center – Tara Lain

Giveaway and Blogtour Review: Canning the Center – Tara Lain

Welcome to my stop on the Canning the Center blogtour! If you have been here before, you know that I love Tara Lain’s stories! There are some really sexy male characters in them, and they all have to deal with discrimination because of their LGBTQ status in society. Some hide, others are well out in the open… Today, I’m sharing my Canning the Center review, some of my favorite quotes and there’s a giveaway, too! My Canning the Center review: Canning the Center might just be the best LGBT story I have read so far, it has everything – a hot football player who’s still in the closet, but really wants to come out, a beautiful and smart man who […]
