Blogtour Review: Gravity (Mageri #4) – Dannika Dark

Blogtour Review: Gravity (Mageri #4) – Dannika Dark

Blogtour, Review and Giveaway! *I received a free ARC of Gravity from Enchantress of Books Blogtour in exchange of an honest review * In Gravity, Silver has to make some tough decisions in order to make sure the people she loves will stay safe. And she is ready to walk the walk! I have to admit I was a little frustrated with Silver because she did what her blackmailer told her to so very easily. While I can understand why she did it, I would have loved to be surprised by Silver – in that she told someone close to her what was up, so she could spare herself and others some heart-ache. Of course, there was a lot of […]

Review: Supernatural Freak – Louisa Klein

*I received a free ARC of Supernatural Freak directly from the author in exchange of an honest review* Supernatural Freak features Robyn, who can see auras, speaks Faery fluently, and works in a paranormal company to help others with their problems, while her own supernatural problems seem to pile up. The reader is brought into Robyn’s London and her supernatural problems from the first sentence, and the story continues in a frantic speed from then on. Review: Impulse (Mageri #3) – Dannika Dark

Review: Impulse (Mageri #3) – Dannika Dark

Impulse is a very apt name for the third book in the Mageri series! We get to know more about Silver, her birth, her childhood, and why she is sometimes not doing what her impulse is telling her to do! We also get to know a lot more about Justus and his own brand of impulse control. It was amazing to get more back-story on Justus, it explains so much about the way he treats Silver, and also the way he treats the women he’s with. There is also a lot of action in Impulse, both with fights and with the budding romantic relationship between Logan and Silver. I sure have a soft spot for Logan! I know I would […]

Review: A Shade of Vampire (A Shade of Vampire #1) – Bella Forrest

Review: A Shade of Vampire (A Shade of Vampire #1) – Bella Forrest

*I received a free copy of A Shade of Vampire from the author in exchange of an honest review* A Shade of Vampire starts with Sofia walking on the beach, alone, with her feelings hurt because she’d just seen Ben kiss someone else. She is kidnapped to a place where there are more vampires than humans, and Lucas is really not treating her very nicely. When Sofia wakes up in shackles, Lucas comes to see her, and he seems to be ready to drain her until his sister, Vivienne intervenes. While I’m not a huge fan of the kidnapping plot in general, it was quite well done in  A Shade of Vampire. Sofia did not quiver and behave like a […]

Review: Hopeless – Colleen Hoover

Hopeless is as far from hopeless as it could possibly be! Rather courageous, strong, stubborn, beautiful and full of hope! Review: Twist (Mageri #2) – Dannika Dark

Review: Twist (Mageri #2) – Dannika Dark

Twist picks up shortly after the end of the story in Sterling (Mageri#1). Silver is still the wonderful and strong female protagonist I loved in book one, and she continues to learn how to take care of herself, fight, and use her new powers under Justus’ guard. She also continues to be strong-minded and fiercely loyal to those she feels close to. The scenes with Silver and Simon in them are simply hilarious! He is a riot, and I love the way he has game nights with Silver twice per week, both to get her out of Justus’ underground house, and to keep himself entertained. The Truth About Lilly Barnes – Kimberly Russel

The Truth About Lilly Barnes – Kimberly Russel

*I received a free copy of The Truth About Lilly Barnes in exchange for an honest review, and also to participate in a blog tour as well as a giveaway * To participate in the giveaway, please click here The Truth About Lilly Barnes was very hard to read! It is about a 17-year-old girl, Lilly, and it starts with what she has planned to be her last day. It certainly has a lot of triggers, both about suicide, sexual assault, anorexia and OCD. I think it is only fair to warn you, so that if any of those things might be a trigger for you, stop reading even this review right now! Lilly has planned her own death for […]

Sterling (Mageri #1) – Dannika Dark

Sterling (Mageri #1) – Dannika Dark

Sterling was an amazing read! Extremely well written, a completely new world that made sense little by little, and intriguing and very likeable characters! Zoë was a normal 29-year-old until one night she decided to take a short-cut home, where she was attacked and thought she died. She woke up in a body bag – completely panicked, after getting out of the bag and the ambulance, she ran like the devil was after her, until Adam found her. Adam and Zoë formed a tentative friendship, although she woke up looking completely different from what she looked before. There was also a whole lot of great humour, I laughed so hard in many places, I need to go through my status […]
