Kaleidoscope had some beautiful metaphors, but Emme and Deck didn’t wow me as much as other Colorado Mountain couples have. The main thing that made Kaleidoscope less enjoyable to me was that in many ways, Emme was just too high strung and high maintenance for me. I did get why at the very end, but by that time, I didn’t care that much anymore. I totally loved Deck, though, and the connections he had both with the rest of the Colorado Mountain men, and with the Rock Chick guys. The romance and the closeness in Jagged hit me right in the chest – it was beautiful! One of the things I loved the most about Jagged was the fact that Ham’s voice got jagged in certain situations. Highland Heat had a fantastic balance of hot romance and heady mystery, and it kept me interested and flipping the pages fast! Audioreview: Pack Challenge – Shelley Laurenston

Pack Challenge is fast paced, a bit mysterious and plenty hot and quite humorous at times. Pack Challenge was my introduction to Laurenston’s writing, and I definitely want more of her stories. I enjoyed her take on shapeshifters, and I really loved Sara from the beginning. Both her snarky relationship with her friends, and the way she interacted with the other characters made me laugh sometimes, and roll my eyes a little other times.
