#ARC #Review: Anarchy Chained – J.A. Huss

Anarchy Chained is quite the finale to the SuperAlpha series! So much was going on, and the wicked twists and turns were out of this world – literally! Anarchy Chained was such a wicked trip! I am still trying to catch my breath, get my wits about me and make my heartbeat slow back down! Huss is a master at mind-fucks! She really, really is. And with this story, she took it even further than usual in my opinion. At the beginning, I was a bit lost, and I continued to feel like the story was a couple of paces ahead of me for most of the time, and it was truly thrilling to never guess a single thing that […]

Review: Deadly Silence – Rebecca Zanetti

Review: Deadly Silence – Rebecca Zanetti

Deadly Silence was packed with action, danger and romance, and I couldn’t set the book down until I had finished reading! This series is even more fast paced than the Sin Brothers series, and that’s saying something. Deadly Silence is the first in a spin-off of the Sin Brothers series, and I do think it’s important to read that series first to get some of the things that happen this one. Especially when it comes to some of the mystery surrounding the blood brothers. And there is so much action in this story it was at such a break-neck speed it was hard to catch my breath more than once! I enjoyed both the backstory and the present story, both were important […]

Review: And I Darken – Kiersten White

Review: And I Darken – Kiersten White

And I Darken was such a good surprise – reading about Lady Lada from when she was a mere child was a dark and delicious adventure. Have you ever been filled with glee when you realise who exactly the main character in your current read is? That’s what happened to me with And I Darken! Lada is Lord Vlad’s daughter, and she’s a princess like no other. When she was born, even the nurse who took care of her found her to be ugly. Her mother was a weak, almost invisible woman, and her father a hard, dark and mean man. When her brother was born a year after her, he was a complete opposite of Lada in every way. He […]

Review: Bounty – Kristen Ashley

Review: Bounty – Kristen Ashley

Bounty proved that there is more to life than fame and money, and while Justice had all that, she had so much more! Justice and Deke were the bomb together, and I loved that they had a connection in the past. Bounty was such a great title for their story, too, because they were both very aware to be thankful for what they had. Justice being a music star, and someone Deke thought would be high maintenance made him quite distant with her, though, and she never understood why. As he was working on renovating her house with her already living in it, they saw each other every day, and there was both hot chemistry and a strong connection between […]

Review: The Play – Karina Halle

Review: The Play – Karina Halle

The Play was way hot, and I fell head over heels for the damaged Lachlan and for Kayla as well. My feels were in overdrive during The Play, I’m not kidding. Lachlan has so many demons he literally lives in his own private hell; even if he’s able to keep said demons at bay most of the time. It’s funny to me that I didn’t really like Kayla much before I started reading this, but here, I got to understand her better, and now I love her. Between the sexy, Scottish rugby player who started out very stand-offish, and the man-eater who has sworn off men, the sparks flew. Even if Kayla and Lachlan both did their best to resist. […]

Review: Rock F*ck Club – Michelle Mankin

Review: Rock F*ck Club – Michelle Mankin

Rock F*ck Club is a hot little number, where a woman takes back control and goes on a quest of rock stars to take back power and control. Rock F*ck Club started with Raven seeing something that can’t be unseen – her rockstar boyfriend with another girl. Totally doing it, and then asking her to join in so as to not be a bore. At first, she was devastated, but then she decided that she really should live things up and be less boring. But only on her own terms, not someone else’s. Strong, empowered women are often seen as bullies, sluts, ‘manly’, noisy… Rock F*ck Club managed to take the slut part out of the equation, even as Raven […]

Review: Provocative – Lisa Renee Jones

Review: Provocative – Lisa Renee Jones

Provocative definitely brought its share of provocation, but it also delved deeper than that, to a level where truths were uncovered, and where the suspicions made trust harder than it needed to be… Provocative wasn’t just addictive, it was consuming, and utterly impossible to put down. From start to finish, I was so engrossed in Faith and Nick, and the intricate way their lives were intertwined – even before they met for the first time. Intriguing. Dark. Hopeful. Enticing. The complex characters definitely moved the story of Provocative forward, Nick and Faith each having their chapters where they shared their hopes, their doubts, their guilt and their trust issues. The dual points of view moved the story forward at a […]

Review: Kaleidoscope – Kristen Ashley

Review: Kaleidoscope – Kristen Ashley

Kaleidoscope had some beautiful metaphors, but Emme and Deck didn’t wow me as much as other Colorado Mountain couples have. The main thing that made Kaleidoscope less enjoyable to me was that in many ways, Emme was just too high strung and high maintenance for me. I did get why at the very end, but by that time, I didn’t care that much anymore. I totally loved Deck, though, and the connections he had both with the rest of the Colorado Mountain men, and with the Rock Chick guys. One thing I love with Kristen Ashley is the strong sense of community, and that was present in Kaleidoscope as well. So was both the incredible mystery, the suspense, and the […]

Review: Turning Back – J.A. Huss

Review: Turning Back – J.A. Huss

Turning Back was so filled with intrigue it was difficult to see which way was up and which way was down. Main feels for the beginning of Turning Back was kind of removed. I didn’t feel any of the characters, and even their smexy scenes seemed a little clinical to me. I didn’t really feel the hotness as I’d expected, and Bric acted like such an arse I wanted to skim his chapters, to tell you the truth. The story in Turning Back is well written, and the theme of second chance is one I absolutely love. It took a while for me to think that Rochelle actually deserved a second chance, though. Because the way she left Quin behind […]

Review: Jagged – Kristen Ashley

Review: Jagged – Kristen Ashley

The romance and the closeness in Jagged hit me right in the chest – it was beautiful! One of the things I loved the most about Jagged was the fact that Ham’s voice got jagged in certain situations. And I have to say, my feels with this story were completely off the charts. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to thank Brandee enough for introducing me to Kristen Ashley’s books! The characters are grown-ups, which is something I find refreshing in romance, and while there was still a bit of drama, the action, the suspense, and the relationships were all easy to relate to, and I found I had a lot of love for the characters as they went […]
