Review: Trust – Jana Aston

Review: Trust – Jana Aston

Trust was amazing! The perfect blend of hot, humorous, romantic, sweet, awkward  and just plain fun. Chloe got to me in a big way, just like I knew she would! I have to say that Trust is my favorite in Aston’s Wrong series! Chloe and Boyd were both really relatable characters I could totally believe in! And Aston’s writing voice gets stronger with each book she releases, it’s distinctive and filled with snarky humor, as well as a certain vulnerability that isn’t that common to find in romantic comedies. I already knew Chloe and Boyd a little bit as they showed up in both Wrong and Right, and I have to say that seeing them together made me very happy! […]

Review: Fling – Jana Aston

Review: Fling – Jana Aston

Fling has Aston’s trademark humor, and I laughed out loud more than once. There was also a very relatable work-place romance, characters I wanted to spend more time with, and some glorious hotness! I had already met Sandra and Gabe, very briefly, in Right by the same author, and I loved seeing what they were up to after Everly’s shenanigans at the New Year’s Party in Fling! Sandra is the kind of efficient administrative assistant I’m sure every boss would like to have! She does have a naughty side, though, but she doesn’t let it out to play at work. Apart from that one time during a quarterly meeting when her best friend, Preston, has changed a quiz about the […]

Review: Mr. Mysterious – J.A. Huss

Review: Mr. Mysterious – J.A. Huss

Mr. Mysterious did bring some answers, but it brought ever more questions as well! The Mister series becomes faster paced with a plot that thickens more with each installment! I loved Mr. Mysterious, both because I was curious about Pax, and because Cindy was such a hoot! That girl actually narrates parts of her actions as they happen 🙂 and she had me laughing out loud. Her flirting with Pax was outrageous, but I think it was needed in order to really capture his attention. The overall plot moved forward very nicely here, but I still feel like I have more questions than answers. And that is definitely right up Ms. Huss’s usual alley – to keep us all guessing […]

Review: Her Naughty Holiday – Tiffany Reisz

Review: Her Naughty Holiday – Tiffany Reisz

Her Naughty Holiday is awesome sauce yumminess galore! Well written, funny, hot, steamy, naughty, hilarious and with really good characters, too! Simply perfect. Delightful, and so much fun – those are just some adjectives that come to mind when trying to describe Her Naughty Holiday! And hiding in plain sight of the fluffy romance and steamy sexiness of this story, there is also a strong message concerning women. Or more importantly, outside expectations when it comes to women, and how they should live their lives. You know, what women need in their lives to be happy. Because it’s really as if we all share one consciousness, like those little green aliens in Toy Story. And we all need to be […]

Review: Magic Binds – Ilona Andrews

Review: Magic Binds – Ilona Andrews

Magic Binds has action at break-neck speed, and still managed to be one of the most romantic and sweet installment in the series at the same time! As always, Kate Daniels is epic! Magic Binds moves forward very nicely, and some loose ends are tied up, while new ones are being made. I loved that Kate was doubting things because of her connection with the land. Feeling the magic get stronger, and how it was sometimes difficult to stay human with all that power, and how Curran was able to anchor her when she could have gone completely mad with it. Magic Binds includes Kate and other characters’ trademark humor, some serious hotness, epic battles, a lot of deceit, secrets […]

Review: The Trouble With Mistletoe – Jill Shalvis

Review: The Trouble With Mistletoe – Jill Shalvis

The Trouble with Mistletoe was a great story, with characters who already feel like close friends of mine, and a romance that made me blush. Friendship, romance, blast from the past and pet-goodness… What’s not to love, right? The Trouble with Mistletoe managed to mix romance, hotness and sweetness to a near perfect mix, and I really enjoyed the characters, both the new ones, and those I already met in Sweet Little Lies. Willa felt slighted ever since her teenage years because of Keane, but never once had she tried to see things from his perspective. I loved how he tried to make friends with his great-aunt’s cat, and how that same cat brought him back into Willa’s orbit. A […]

Audioreview: Panther’s Claim – Eve Langlais

Audioreview: Panther’s Claim – Eve Langlais

Panther’s Claim was a lot of fun, with a mystery, some hot moments and quite a bit of danger. Listening to Panther’s Claim was a treat! I loved the humor, and I also loved how out there Cynthia was in many ways. I mean, she kidnapped Daryl to figure out if he had kidnapped her friend… That is pretty out there, no? Their chemistry was off the charts, though, and I enjoyed how they both slowly came to realize they might be fated mates. The mystery that started in Croc’s Return continues here, and the disappearances of shifters seem very ominous and unnatural, as do the hybrid shifters who attack Cyn and Daryl. There were a lot of interactions between […]

Review: Her Halloween Treat – Tiffany Reisz

Review: Her Halloween Treat – Tiffany Reisz

Her Halloween Treat is such a great story, Reisz spins beautiful stories with characters I never want to leave. I don’t know how Reisz does it, but her stories always grabs me and pulls me in! Her Halloween Treat is no exception, as I fell instantly in love with both Joey and Chris. My feels were invested from the start, too, and the whole spectrum was involved. The way Reisz strings her words together to make beautiful sentences that become stories is a true piece of art, and I think I could print out a page of one of her books and frame it – that’s how much I love her writing. And while there were moments where Joey made […]

Review: Love You So Hard – Tara Lain

Review: Love You So Hard – Tara Lain

Love You So Hard is a cute, short read about Craig and Jessie, and how Craig needed some encouragement to be more confident. Love You So Hard is a short, hot read, and knowing that it started with a photo and a prompt in the Goodreads M/M group makes feel all kind of awe for Ms. Lain here! There was both humour and hotness here, and part of the action was set in Laguna Beach, which makes me wonder if that’s how Love in Laguna started… As the story in Love You So Hard is only 76 pages, there is very little character development, and that’s why I gave it three stars rather than four. It’s still quite a feat […]

Review: Sweet Little Lies – Jill Shalvis

Review: Sweet Little Lies – Jill Shalvis

Sweet Little Lies is a fantastic start to Shalvis’ new series. There is romance galore, as well as friendship, humor and loyalty as well. As soon as I started reading Sweet Little Lies, I knew I was going to fall in love with it! First of all, the romantic interest’s name is Finn *sighs* and he owns an Irish bar *double-sighs* and he’s loyal to a fault, strong and hardworking. Plus, he’s very easy on the eyes. The way Pru described him to me showed me I was going to love her as well. She’s been through a lot, none of it her won fault, and because she’s felt so much guilt over her parents’ mistakes, she’s made it her […]
