Max is hands down the most swoony of the hockey players in Cold Fury Hockey, like a knight in shining armour, but with a wicked humor. I think Max wins the book boyfriend of the year prize for 2016 (as I read this last year). Sweet, hot, mysterious… The Gamble brought out all the feels! Great characters, a solid plot, and so much romance. Pack Challenge is fast paced, a bit mysterious and plenty hot and quite humorous at times. Pack Challenge was my introduction to Laurenston’s writing, and I definitely want more of her stories. I enjoyed her take on shapeshifters, and I really loved Sara from the beginning. I loved Archangel’s Heart, both because Raphael and Elena were the main characters, and because we delved into Elena’s past, through her quest for genealogy while they were in Morocco on Cadre business.
