He'll do anything to protect her....

Former Marine and newest Red Stone Security employee Alexander Blue is still adjusting to the civilian world after a decade spent at war, but when he sees someone in danger, nothing can take away that intrinsic need to protect. After stopping a would-be mugger, Blue finds himself being bandaged up by a sensual local artist in her Key West condo. He never expected to stay the night, even if it is on her couch. The mysterious Mina gets under his skin in a way he never thought possible. When it becomes clear that her mugging wasn’t random and she’s being targeted by deadly men, Blue has no problem stepping into the role of protector.

But she doesn't want to be saved

Tired of being coddled and treated like a child, Mina has tried to distance herself from her family. When danger finds her, she’s forced to turn to the sexy stranger who she feels a strong, unexpected connection with. In him she sees glimmers of herself; a little broken, withdrawn and wary of the world. Soon she learns that the biggest threat might not be from the men trying to kidnap her, but from the quiet warrior who poses an immediate risk to her heart.

Sinful Seduction is a very fast-paced, hot and exciting contemporary romantic-suspense novel! Mina is living under her mother’s maiden name in the Florida Keys, where she can be incognito, work with her art, and just enjoy life. At least she can mostly enjoy most of life, one thing is truly missing from her life, though, and that is a man to share everything with. Until and evening when she leaves her friend’s gallery, with a huge check in her purse, and decides to cut through an alley on her way home.

Blue is feeling a little lonely, after his last job for Red Stone Security, his friend and boos told him to take a few days off – and he has no idea what to do with himself. So, going out for dinner, he cuts through an alley, and barely manages to save a beautiful woman from several thugs. What looked like a mugging at first now rather seems to be a failed kidnapping. And while Mina wants to take care of herself, Blue is so very protective. And hot. And strong. And willing to fight to save her.

I loved the story in Sinful Seduction, and even if everything happened over the span of just a few days, because of the fast pace, the thugs, the kidnapping attempts and probably even Mina’s and Blue’s personalities, I had no problems at all believing in them, their awesome chemistry and even their love. Seemingly just a soft and delicate woman, Mina has a lot of strength, and she is not falling apart even when she realizes that someone just tried to kidnap her. Afterwards, when she realizes that Blue was hurt by her assailants, she wants to patch him up, and he’s all for walking with her to make sure she’ll get to her home safely.

Thrilling, suspenseful, exciting and hot, Sinful Seduction kept my full attention for every second. There are beautiful descriptions of the reef near the keys, and even if Mina and Blue don’t really get to enjoy it all, just the fact that they’re there made the story even better in my opinion. I have already red several other Katie Reus books, and she writes awesome romantic suspense novels. Sinful Seduction also made me want to read the seven prior books in the Red Stone Security series. The characters are both likable, as are several of the side characters, and I want to know more about them all.

Not having read the prior books was not distracting or taking away from my enjoyment of Sinful Seduction at all – the story can certainly be read as a stand-alone. However, the fact that there are hot guys, capable women and suspense, bodyguards and fast-paced stories makes me want to just delve into that world and not come back out to the real world for a while.

The ankle length dress she wore was thin and clung to her in all the right places, not hiding a single delectable curve. He didn’t know much about women’s fashion but he was pretty sure the style was called Bohemian. Whatever it was, it was fucking hot.

After showering and changing into pajamas – which she’d only worn because he was in her home – now she was wired again. Okay, maybe not wired so much as turned on and unable to sleep.

Sitting down, he stretched out, keeping her close as she released all her pent up emotion. She burrowed into him, clutching onto his shirt as she cried. The way her body shook, her ragged tears, the almost palpable pain rolling off her, cut through him like a fifty cal. He just wanted to take all her agony away.

  1. Blue sounds swoon-worthy, Lex! And Mina seems like a great heroine. Ms. Reus is an author that’s on my tbr, and I’m glad to know I don’t necessarily have to have read the previous books in the series to read this one. I’m glad you loved this one so much! 😉

I hope your week has been going smoothly. And that maybe your essay-writer’s block has lifted a bit?!? We’re on the countdown to the end of the school year – finals and projects and my middle schoolers have their last concerts of the year. Good times! 😉 **BIG HUGS**
