He doesn’t remember. She can’t forget.
Sienna D’Amico was humiliated after taking the biggest risk of her life and sleeping with Tanner, a guy she barely knew. Then he ghosts her. No last name. No phone number.
When Tanner strolls into her University Managing Innovation and Change class, she’s stuck on a team that includes Tanner and two other guys. They must work together for the semester. Oh how she wishes she’d stuck with her dream of becoming a fashion designer, instead of playing it safe and getting her marketing degree.
But she doesn’t take risks. She won't repeat her dad’s mistakes.
Tanner Morgan has an excuse for not remembering the gorgeous and smart Sienna, but she won’t listen and barely tolerates him. To escape the Midwest and conquer Wall Street he must take risks. He will not end up back on his parents’ ranch.
For years he’s not quite Sienna’s friend, but no longer an enemy. That’s only because of their mutual friends—the Big Sky Dreamers.
Tanner takes on Wall Street and achieves his dreams. Sienna cautiously explores her own goals. But something is missing in both their lives.
It just might be the impossible—each other?
Invest in Me is the first book in the Big Sky Dreamers series and was the first book I’ve read from Nan Dixon. It introduced all the players in the series but focused on Sienna and Tanner. I found all the characters relatable and their stories engaging. And I look forward to continuing the series.
Sienna and Tanner had a one-night-stand. One where he disappeared without a word the next morning. Sienna was, understandably, hurt because they’d spent a lot of time talking and she thought they’d really hit it off. And their chemistry was hot. Fast forward ~6 months and Tanner’s in one of Sienna’s classes. Worse than that, she’s assigned to be in a semester long project group with him (and Sean & Mitch)…and Tanner doesn’t remember her. Uh-oh!
The group actually becomes great friends and start a tradition of skiing in Montana every spring break. I enjoyed watching how the dynamics evolved between them all, especially the way Sienna and Tanner danced around one another. They were all close-knit, talked about their dreams (Big Sky Dreamers) and it was exciting watching them “grow up” and make their dreams a reality.
It took a long time, and more than a few hiccups, before Sienna and Tanner worked things out. But it was realistic. They had to grow and figure out their places in the world before they could make things work between them. It was painful to watch at times but I was very satisfied with where they ended up. 🙂

This sounds like a great read! I’m sure that reading Sienna and Tanner dancing around each other was angsty but fun as well.
