    I’m surprised you didn’t DNF this. I probably would…

Yeah, I have to really, really hate something in a book in order to DNF it… Thanks for stopping by, Braine πŸ™‚

Well this sounds a bit intense. I’m not sure if starting the series or not but great review, Lexxie! πŸ˜€

I wonder if I’d have felt better about this one if I had read All Our Pretty Songs first, though, Lola…

I love Persephone’s Orchard so much now that if a book goes with the Persephone myth, it has to be on par with that one. So sorry this one was not really what you were looking for. Definitely need a great plot to hold interest. Wonderful review! Jaclyn @ JC’s Book Haven.

Jaclyn, this one doesn’t even feel all that close to the actual Persephone story, because there are no abductions in this book…

Well, even with nonstory, at least there was a beautiful friendship

Hmm, it’s a shame that wonderful writing didn’t equal wonderful book. From what you’ve said, Dirty Wings doesn’t interest me either, Lexxie. I do love beautiful writing but it does need to convey a story. I’m sorry you weren’t wow’d and I hope your current read is fabulous!! πŸ™‚

Yeah, it just didn’t hit that sweet spot for me, Brandee. And beautiful writing has to mean more than just pretty words πŸ™‚

Wow. I’m sorry this book was such a let down, but thanks for the heads-up. I’m pretty sure that book’s on my wishlist somewhere, b/c PRETTY cover. But yeah, no matter how interesting the friendship was, if there’s no point or explanation, then what’s the . . . point? Thanks for sharing, Lexxie!
