Review: The Lost Prince (The Iron Fey: Call of the Forgotten #1) – Julie Kagawa

Review: The Lost Prince (The Iron Fey: Call of the Forgotten #1) – Julie Kagawa

*I received an ARC of The Lost Prince from Harlequin Teen via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review* There are a couple of things that happen in The Lost Prince that are actually explained in Iron’s Prophecy so if you have that one, I think it would be a great idea to read that first! The Lost Prince is everything I dreamed it could be, and more! I’m sure we can all guess how things are going to play out – right? Well, things don’t really go according to Ethan’s plan at all, but there is a lot of action, new friendships, and a mystery that has to be taken care of. Ethan finds out a lot more both […]

Review: Wanted: Undead or Alive (Love at Stake #12) – Kerrelyn Sparks

Review: Wanted: Undead or Alive (Love at Stake #12) – Kerrelyn Sparks

Wanted: Undead or alive left me with a first impressionl, I, who often don’t even notice covers, have to just mention this cover. That guy on the cover just can’t be Dr. Phang! Dr. Phang is black – that guy over there is definitely not black. I don’t understand why someone else is on the cover of Phang’s book. There, now that’s off my chest. Wanted: Undead or Alive was quite slow in comparison to the other books in this series, but the relationship budding between Phinneas and Brynley was well suited to go slow. And it permitted the readers to really get to know both of them a lot better, and to understand their hang-ups and their defensive mechanisms. […]

Feature and Follow #14 – I’m featured!!

YAY, it’s Friday!! Wow, I am so amazed to be this week’s featured blog! I am happy-dancing right now, let me tell you 🙂 Of course, because I am featured, you get to read my little interview before we get to all the meaty stuff. Here are the questions I’ve been asked : When did you start blogging? I am still new (in my mind at least) as I only started blogging in June of this year. What is your favorite part of book blogging? It’s getting to know new bloggers, I have discovered so many new book-blogs these past few months, and I love reading other people’s point of view on books I have already read. It has also […]

Point of Retreat (Slammed #2) – Colleen Hoover

Point of Retreat (Slammed #2) – Colleen Hoover

*I received a free ARC of Point of Retreat from Simon & Schuster via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review* Oh my, what an emotional roller coaster this was! Even more so than Slammed, if that is even possible. Will is still just as amazing, he’s the best male character in YA ever. And Lake is awesome as well. I just can’t get enough of these two and their little brothers as well as their merry band of friends. My heart was broken this time, too, and I was crying so hard for a while my head was hurting! I felt like I was one of the characters in the book – I was really there the whole time […]

Google doesn’t love me anymore :( feedburner trouble!

I just read a blog post on one of the blogs I am following about feedburner, and how it won’t be working anymore. I have used feedburner since I started blogging, but I have noticed lately that it tells me that I don’t have any followers anymore. That’s OK, people sometimes change their mind, and maybe they just aren’t that interested in my stuff, or they don’t have time to read and follow as many posts as they used to. However, this post tells a different story. Google seems to really prefer bloggers who use blogspot or blogger, not wordpress. I just wish I had set up my blog right here from the very beginning! It’s not that I want […]

Review: Slammed (Slammed #1) – Colleen Hoover

*I received a free ARC of Slammed from Simon & Schuster via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review* Slammed blew me away, I laughed, I cried and my heart was broken, then fixed again! Lake has to be one of the best and strongest female MC’s I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know ever. And Will is exceptional as well. The hand life handed those two was not the easiest hand to be dealt, but they did deal with it, and they did it in an amazing way! They both have to face responsibilities most people their age have the luck not to meet yet, and they made some choices where they put others’ needs in front of […]

Review: The Devil in Silver – Victor LaValle

Review: The Devil in Silver – Victor LaValle

*I received a free ARC of The Devil in Silver from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review* *Trigger warnings : suicide, abuse by people in a situation of power, murder* In the beginning, Pepper thinks it’s going to be easy to stay a few days in the psych ward – whatever could happen to him there, right? He learns differently already the first morning, when he gets his medication and immediately loses over an hour of his life due to the medicated haze. He soon realizes that life as he knew it will never be the same, even if he only has to stay for 72 hours. His brain is sluggish, his body doesn’t respond the way he thinks […]

Just One Night (Rebels With a Cause #1) – Eve Gaddy

Just One Night (Rebels With a Cause #1) – Eve Gaddy

*I received a free ARC of Just One Night from Bell Bridge Books via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review* I did quite enjoy this book, but I had to take some points off for clichés, insta-love and predictability. If you want to read something quick, romantic and a little hot, with a splash of mystery and some conflicts of interest, this should hit exactly the right spot.
