It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

Welcome to It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? This is a meme hosted by Sheila @ Book Journey; and I think it is great to start the week with what I’m reading right this minute, and what I’ll be reading (or planning on reading, anyway) for the rest of the week.

Please visit Sheila’s blog to sign up on her linky, that way you will have other Monday bloggers coming to visit you as well.

Last week, I read the following books:

Friends to Lovers - (un)Conventional BookviewsFriends to Lovers by Christi Barth. This is a very sweet contemporary romance, and I really enjoyed reading it! I have a special spot in my heart for both friends to lovers and second chance at love stories, the characters were endearing and quirky, and it was a hot read! ★★★★☆

Targeted - (un)Conventoinal BookviewsTargeted (Deadly Ops #1) by Katie Reus is the first book in a new series, and it’s extremely fast-paced, hot, funny and full of action! ★★★★☆

The Holdout - (un)Conventional BookviewsThe Holdout by Laurel Osterkamp, a well-written story about a woman in her early thirties who participates in a ‘Survivor’-like reality show, and how she deals with things once the filming is over and she has to live with all the choices she made being on TV, and seeing her photo on the cover of magazines. ★★★★☆

Rekindled Dreams - (un)Conventional BookviewsRekindled Dreams by Linda Carroll-Bradd is a sweet romance about two people who more or less grew up together, and when they meet again as adults, sparks fly. ★★★☆☆

Right now, I’m struggling with what to read next, I went a little click-happy on Netgalley, and actually got accepted for some ARCs I’m really looking forward to, and I have a back-log of ARCs to read as well. I think I’m going to go with

Crash Into You - (un)Conventional BookviewsCrash Into You by Katie McGarry first, because I truly love this excellent NA romance series! And I can’t wait to read about Isaiah as the main character.

I didn’t get to all the books I had planned last week, so I might try to get to those this week.

Here’s what happened on (un)Conventional Bookviews this past week:

Blogtour and Review: Sanctuary – Pauline Creeden

Blogtour, Giveaway and Review: In Harmony (Fenbrook Academy #2) – Helena Newbury

Review: The Cutting Room Floor – Dawn Klehr

Feature and Follow #61 – Everyone read it but me

Cover Reveal and Giveaway: Dawning Apocalypse (Dream Slayer #1) – Jill Cooper

What have you been up to? Have you read some really good books you’d recommend to me as well? Please leave me a link so I can come read your Monday post as well.

Thanks for stopping by, have a fantastic Monday, a terrific week and happy reading.

  1. I know all about getting to click happy on Netgalley, especially since I am pre-approved for several different publishers..so those go straight to my kindle and if I don’t watch out..ugh..what I am already backlogged..lol. 🙂 I am trying really hard not to visit Netgalley till I get some read..lol.

    • LOL I tried (a little bit, not too hard) not to visit Netgalley as well, but there are some upcoming releases I’m really excited about, and Harlequin keeps sending me e-mails, too, with books they say they’ll approve me for if I request them 🙂

Thanks for stopping by Stormi 🙂

  2. Jessica@a GREAT read

It’s funny that when we decide to get click happy with books on Netgalley, they suddenly all get approved at once! Haven’t had that happen in awhile since it’s been awhile when I was click happy, but I did go a little click happy last week with a few free/cheap kindle reads!

    Here’s my Monday Wrapup

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

    • I know, right? Usually I only get accepted for one or two books, but there bam! several at once 🙂 I’m really excited though, because all are books I really want to read 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by.

  3. I’ve enjoyed the Katie McGarry series way more than I thought I would, and I can’t wait for Crash Into You! I’m on auto approve with so many on NetGalley it’s dangerous! I try not to visit too often as I have no capacity for restraint lol
Have a great week and happy reading 🙂

  4. This Monday I am getting very near the conclusion of Hercule Poirot’s Christmas. I love Agatha Christie. The way clues are layered subtly throughout the story and the conversations with M. Poirot (or Miss Marple or…).

    Happy reading!

    • I agree, Agatha Christie was a fabulous writer, and both Miss Marple and M. Poirot are among my favorite characters ever 🙂

Have a great week Xyra. “hugs*

  5. *sighs* Crash Into You is just one of those books that has it all!

I’m so happy you’re enjoying In Harmony, and we need to have a ‘date’ on FB chat 😉

Thanks for stopping by, have a great week yourself, Brandee. *hugs*
