Feature and Follow #85 – Landmark

YAY it’s Friday! Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature and Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.The Feature and Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Rachel of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to meet more new bloggers!

What sets this Hop apart from others, is that our hosts feature two blogs. Every week they will each showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow both their featured as well as our lovely hosts as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your Feature and follow post. I prefer being followed via e-mail, RSS / Bloglovin’ or Google+; but you can also like my Facebook page, or even follow me on Twitter.

What is the biggest city you live near (or interesting landmark)? Show us a postcard picture.

I live in Geneva, Switzerland, and we have lots of interesting landmarks here. We have the European part of the UN, we can see the Alps – and on some days even the Mont Blanc mountain, there is the lake, and on the lake something that is called the Jet d’Eau. Basically, this is a very tall water fountain, and this is among the most famous landmarks we have. The Jet d’Eau is 140 meters (459 feet) tall, and it can be seen from many different places in Geneva. I think it’s quite beautiful, what do you think?

  1. I love going to Switzerland. My family and I holiday there during November to go skiing, and to take the overhead cable cars. The Views are breath-taking. You are blessed to live in such a wonderful place Lexxie 🙂

    • If you ever stop over in Geneva, Gabby, please let me know and we’ll go out for coffee or drinks or something 🙂
      Thanks for stopping by.

    • I have so many places I want to visit, still, both in Europe and on other continents 😀
      Thanks for stopping by, Tracy.

    • Thanks Nikita 🙂 Your pictures took my breath away, though. So I guess we’re even 🙂

  2. While studying French we have analysed and saw some great pictures of the Jet d’Eau, read also something about it and it was absolutely beautiful. My teacher came from Switzerland, loved her description of the country, I would love to see it one day ^^

Thank you for stopping by Lexxie ! Have a great Friday xx

    • Switzerland is a beautiful country, but it’s kind of confusing, what with four different official languages and all 😀
      Thanks for stopping by Liesel.

    • There are a lot of different things to see in Switzerland, and it’s not that big a country 🙂 Thanks for stopping by Jackie.

    • Braine, the Alps are beautiful in the summer as well, and that way your lips might not turn blue 🙂 There are places to hike and other fun stuff to do 🙂
      Thanks for stopping by, Braine.

  4. Geneba looks beautiful! I’ve flown over Alps a couple of times and they do look gorgeous in the air but I hope I could see them on the ground some day – and visit Switzerland. 🙂
