Feature and Follow #81 – Guilty Pleasures

YAY it’s Friday! Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature and Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.The Feature and Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Rachel of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to meet more new bloggers!

What sets this Hop apart from others, is that our hosts feature two blogs. Every week they will each showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow both their featured as well as our lovely hosts as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your Feature and follow post. I prefer being followed via e-mail, RSS / Bloglovin’ or Google+; but you can also like my Facebook page, or even follow me on Twitter.

What are your non-book guilty pleasures? Like TV shows, food, websites, hobbies, etc

Ha! I know, you guys just want to know all of my secrets, right? Pfft! I have guilty pleasures that involves TV shows, food, websites, and … no, actually, no other hobbies! OK, among my favorite TV shows, there is The Mentalist (really, who can resist Patrick Jane?) and I haven’t watched the past five episodes due to lack of time! I also love both NCIS and NCIS LA (again, HOT guys, anyone?) – and also far, far behind, and I totally hate spoilers, so please don’t tell me what’s going on! Another TV show I love is Hawaii 5-0 – and for this, I have more reasons than only the HOT guys… it’s in Hawaii, and Daniel Dae Kim is in it. I have loved him since he was in Lost! Of course, the fact that there are several hot guys in this show is not hurting, either…

Food *yum!* I love food! And I would have as hard a time picking a single favorite as I would have picking a single favorite book. I love sushi. And I love sea-food. And I love meat. And I love tasting stuff I have never tried before. When I travel (*sighs* OK, that right there just might be another hobby. I love traveling, and I’m lucky enough to be able to travel quite often) I always try local specialties, and most of the time, I’m pleasantly surprised.

I have one website I love visiting, and that truly is a guilty pleasure. I love (no, really, I LOVE) Jessica and Heather aka the Fuggirls over at Go Fug Yourself! They are hilarious. And they always rip apart celebrities – the way they’re dressed, something stupid they said, or something stupid they did in public. Yup. Totally guilty pleasure. Heather and Jessica are so snarky it’s amazing. They always make me laugh a lot. Sadly, I haven’t had time to visit their site for quite some time… but I also follow their Twitter, so I am more or less up to date anyway 😉 And if you go over there to check out just how awesome they are, you should totally take a look at their Princely Played, Prince post… in which Prince is a spectator at the French Open 🙂

What about you? Do you have some non-book guilty pleasures? Please say yes. I really don’t want to feel all alone in my guilty pleasure-ness 😉

Thanks for stopping by today, have a fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend.

  1. Haha! Nice! I haven’t watched Hawaii 5-0 but I totally loved…and totally blanking now…the other guy on that show! He was on Moonlight, a show I adored and it got canceled after 1 season! Tragedy! Especially since it ended with a cliffhanger, kinda sorta, but enough of one to drive me crazy!

    Here’s my Follow Friday

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

Jessica @ a GREAT read recently posted: Follow Friday
  2. Yeah, and here I was thinking I didn’t have time for anything else but reading, school and my family 🙂

    Thanks for stopping by, Jessica.

  3. Too funny! Our TV shows match! Although, I am way behind on the Mentalist; it kind of lost me when red john wasn’t red john.

NCIS LA – DEEKS! I know his coloring is wrong, but that is who I see as Shane when I read Morganville. His coloring is more Michael, but I don’t think Michael would have the scruff.

Hawaii Five-O – You bet Daniel Dae Kim is my favorite there too. I liked him in Star Trek, Charmed, ER, 24, and Lost.

Other than that, my guilty pleasure…my dolls. I’ve never really put toys to the side. I don’t understand why women have to give up everything from their youth when guys can still have model trains, planes, and automobiles or video games. 🙂

    • Deeks is certainly great! I love his sulky humor 🙂 LOL you are absolutely right to keep your dolls, Xyra, and I really like your reasoning!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’re having a great weekend.

    • I haven’t watched any of my beloved shows in a while, but I’m sure I’ll have time to catch up over the summer.

Thanks for stopping by, Kristalyn. I hope you’re having a fantastic weekend.

  4. That’s so funny the Fuggirls! I haven’t heard of them but with a name like that wow, just wow. I love food too but I didn’t write that in my post, I don’t eat anything exciting or remotely interesting so I left it out. I did talk about crime shows, I watch real life ones & I think those are scarier, lol.

    • Yeah, those Fuggirls are truly funny. I think I enjoy the fictional crime shows better than the real life ones, exactly for that reason. I want to be able to turn off my TV and tell myself it was all make believe 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by Itara.

    • Yeah, sushi is so good! Now, we have a couple of really nice sushi places here, too, one that even delivers 🙂

Thanks for stopping by Alison. I hope your weekend is wonderful.

  5. I love Hawaii 5.0 too!! I just think it’s a fun show and yes full of hotties. I also love food!! I love to taste new things when I go out to eat. I think one of the reasons I do this is because my husband won’t eat anything different so when we eat out I just eat everything up. I am going to check out that website you listed. One I used to visit a lot was called Dlisted. That was a good celebrity site too.

    • Yum! Food can be pretty exciting, right? I hope you’ll enjoy the Fuggirls 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by, Angie.

    • Me, too! It just makes those perfect-looking faces seem more human, somehow.

      Thanks for stopping by, Peggy.

  6. Daniel Dae Kim is damn BEAUTIFUL! I still find Sawyer one of the sexiest men on TV, ever. But Jin was right up there as well.

    • Oh, I agree! Sawyer is the best, the sexiest and the snarkiest! I haven’t found him in any new shows, though, that’s why I didn’t even mention him.

      Thanks for stopping by, Lyn.
