Feature and Follow #78 – Other Hobby?!?

YAY it’s Friday! Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature and Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.The Feature and Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Rachel of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to meet more new bloggers!

What sets this Hop apart from others, is that our hosts feature two blogs. Every week they will each showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow both their featured as well as our lovely hosts as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your Feature and follow post. I prefer being followed via e-mail, RSS / Bloglovin’ or Google+; but you can also like my Facebook page, or even follow me on Twitter.

Share! Tell us about one of your hobbies that is NOT reading.

Huh, is there such a thing as other hobbies? Does blogging count? 😛 I don’t really have time for other hobbies, as I am finishing by BA in English language and literature, plus in linguistics this semester. And I also have a husband, four children and a house to take care of. I do have something else I really love doing, though, and that is to travel. I do that every chance I get, either with the whole family in tow, or with friends, or once a year with my sister. I also love taking photos, mostly of my family when we travel, though 🙂

Do you have any other hobbies? Please share your link so I can find out.

Thanks for stopping by today, have a fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend.

  1. I sure do love your travel posts! I used to have hobbies and then I started writing. Forget about it! I’ve been thinking of adding a hobby back into my life, just not sure what and when I’ll fit in. Hiking maybe. I hope you have a great weekend, Lexxie!

    • Hiking is nice, Robyn! We do go on walks and hikes every now and then, and in the winter, we try to go skiing, too.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend, too.

    • 🙂 I don’t do all that much – reading is like breathing to me! And having this blog is such a great outlet, and an awesome way to connect with other readers, like yourself! Even if that almost always (as in every single day) makes me add ever more books to my shelves 😀

      Thanks for stopping by, Jessica.

    • I know I’m really lucky to be able to travel as much as I do, there are so many exciting places to visit!

      Thanks for stopping by, Kristalyn.

    • Well, if I didn’t have any time for reading, I’d be really, really sad! So I make time for that 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by.

    • Yeah, traveling is awesome. I hope you’ll get the chance to indulge more, Liesel.

      Thanks for stopping by.

    • Yes, you did, Franny, and I think it’s great that several other bloggers are English majors as well 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Other hobby (hobbies). One that doesn’t have a link is my involvement in two different choirs. I am an alto who sometimes sings second soprano or tenor. We just finished the season by performing Carmina Burana. My second choir is for church and we sing through June.

The other hobby – I don’t have a book blog, but a doll blog (you know this, but others may not). It’s been a lot of fun preparing photo stories and shoots and reviews for that.

  3. WHAT? You mean there’s more to life than reading? 😉 I can’t believe that you’re able to commit as much time as you do to blogging/reading what with your family and schooling. But, it usually helps when you love it. 🙂 I snowboard, but all of the snow has melted, so until next year! Happy Friday. 🙂

    • I know, right? Snowboarding sounds great! I ski, both downhill and telemark 🙂 I haven’t really had time lately, though.

      Thanks for stopping by.

    • Yeah, my photos aren’t artsy, though… mostly of places we visit and of my family 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by, Jackie.

  4. I love to travel as well! Although I don’t get the chance to very often. Wow, that is a whole lot on your plate. Kudos to you for having four children, plus a husband and are still able to go to school! I admire moms/wives who are able to do that. 🙂 I hope it all works out for you.

Have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by my blog.

  5. *haha* I know EXACTLY what you mean, Lexxie! 😉 And I can say that I think you have PLENTY to keep you busy, my friend. I like to travel as well although I don’t get to do it as much as I’d like…unless you count traveling to band/music competitions. *ha* Someday we’ll travel to that island and hang out for a good long while. 🙂

Hope you’ve had an excellent weekend! It’s been nice here and the hummingbirds have returned. 🙂 **BIG HUGS**
