Feature & Follow #20 – From movies to books?

Posted 16 November, 2012 by Linda @ (un)Conventional Bookworms in Feature and Follow / 0 Comments

YAY it’s Friday!

Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to meet more new bloggers!

What sets this Hop apart from others, is that our hosts feature two blogs. Every week they will each showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow both their featured as well as our lovely hosts as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post.

As you can imagine, this is a great way to get to know your fellow bloggers better, as well as a way to find new blogs, and be seen by more people yourself.

Now, on to this week’s question:

Q: Books are turned into movies all the time! Turn it around. What movie would make a great book?

This is actually not as easy to answer as it seems – at least not to me! I think most of the movies I’ve seen lately started out as books, so finding a movie that was written for the big screen and turn it into a book is quite difficult. Can I go with TV series instead? I would like to read the book of LOST, for example… and if the writer would shine some more light on the mysteries that happened on the island, that would be totally awesome!

What about you? Have you seen a movie you’d like to read?

Thanks for stopping by, have a fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend!

  1. Great answer Lexxie, you’re right it was harder then it seemed to find movies. Most of my favorites started out as books as well. I had to search a little to make sure my choice wasn’t already a book 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

Here’s my FFF this week 🙂

  2. Lost! OMG, that is the most amazing idea ever! A friend and mine are constantly searching for “stranded on an island” novels, anime, movies, shows, and manga (and sometimes even games), so I’m probably way to excited about this, but.. that would be SO. COOL. #keysmashes

    • I met an amazing group of people thanks to Lost… we were totally obsessing over it – and I’m sure we’d all read about it as well.
      Thanks for stopping by Patricia.

  3. Hey Lexxie!!!!

I haven’t watched the whole Lost series but I can see how it would make wonderful books.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
    Old follower 🙂

  4. Jessica@a GREAT read

Oh nice! This was actually a book series for awhile! Not sure how far it went. I know at Season 1 or 2 there were a few books. But again…can’t recall how many! I think I read 2 of them!

    Thanks for visiting my blog!

    • I wish Lost could just start all over again… and I’d love another ending – something less purgatory-like (ooo I said the *p* word :O)

    • I loved it in the start as well, then there was a little muck in the middle before it became great again and ended strangely…
Thanks for stopping by Shane 🙂

  5. I never did finish watching LOST I think I got through the first season and then got distracted with other series, even though everyone tells me to take it to the end LOL. Too little time. 😉

    • One day, if you have several days when you can’t do much other than watch TV, you should get the whole LOST series! And I totally get what you mean about too little time 🙂 thanks for stopping by Rachel.
