COYER Summer Vacation

Welcome to my sign-up post for the COYER Summer Vacation challenge! I am so happy there will be yet another COYER challenge, as my kindle would be weighing in at several hundred pounds if it contained actual paper books… As usual, our hosts for the COYER Summer Vacation challenge are Michelle @ Because Reading, and Berls @ Fantasy is More Fun. The rules are a little different this time around, so be sure to check out the sign-up post to know how things are going to work for the summer challenge. Since the challenge run from June 21st through September 5th, and I’m actually off from Uni during that whole time, I am going to be able to read quite a lot.

I will be picking both ARCs that I have from Netgalley and Edelweiss as well as books I have bought for my kindle and some kindle freebies. I have tons and tons ready and waiting to be read, so I really won’t have any trouble choosing, and I also have books across genres, so I won’t get tired of reading either, I don’t think. Nine weeks of reading, that’s a lot, right? I usually read around four books each week, but since I won’t have classes, I’m going to aim a little higher, and I will set my goal to 60 books for the challenge. I will read mostly books from my TBR shelf on Goodreads / Booklikes / Leafmarks, because those are books I already own or have on pre-order.

Kindle TBR - (un)Conventional BookviewsSee that TBR collection on my Kindle? Those are books I’ve bought or freebies. And those are books I haven’t read yet. When I see that number, I think I may be slightly crazy and very obsessed with books indeed. As you can see, I also have 39 ARCs to read, plus 11 Blogtour items. Some of the Blogtour items I’ve already read and reviewed, though, so that’s not exactly a biggie. I really do need this COYER Summer Vacation challenge, though. And I should probably ban myself from the internet for a while, too, so that I won’t one-click or request any more books…

I will try have a follow-up post up on every Friday, I think that will go well with the Feature and Follow post if I participate in that, and if not, there will be something fun to keep up with here on Fridays anyway.

Are you participating in the COYER Summer Vacation challenge? If you are, please let me know, I’d love to keep up with your goals, what you are reading, and you know – maybe add more books to my shelves, since I’m gong to do so well if all goes by the plan.

Thanks for stopping by – have a fun Friday.

    • Yeah, it’s not good, but at least I won’t run out of books to read for a good long while ๐Ÿ™‚

      Thanks for stopping by, Braine.

    • But I will be off from Uni the whole time, Michelle. What I really need to do is to try to not add any more books too, but I know myself, that’s gong to be an impossible task.

      Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Yay! So glad you’re joining us again ๐Ÿ™‚ 60 is an amazing goal – I just spent the last couple days organizing the books I won and I came to the shocking realization that I own over 450 books that I haven’t read and I have like 12 or 13 more for review! So my goal this summer is to only read books I already own! I sure won’t run out… Good luck ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Oh wow, Berls, is it mean that I’m kind of happy I’m not the only one with several hundreds books still un-read on my kindle? It a way, it’s good we won’t run out of books, right?

      Thanks for stopping by.

    • Oh, you should join, Naomi ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s a fun way to read books you’ve had for a while ๐Ÿ™‚

      Thanks for stopping by.

  2. I was just thinking yesterday that I really need to do a challenge like this again because I’ve been downloading like 3-4 books a day and hate to see them all unread. I will not get anywhere close to 60….probably more like six! ๐Ÿ™‚
