Comment Appreciation 2014

I have been going through the stats for (un)Conventional Bookviews these past days, both to prepare my wrap-up post, and to see how I’ve been doing in 2014. And I have some really great bloggers who are amazing at commenting here. I figured I should show the top commenters some appreciation, because it always makes my day to open the blog and see that there are new comments waiting for me.

To show the top five commenters some appreciation, I am giving each of them an e-book by Donna Cummings, because I think she’s an indy author how really deserves more love! And just who are these amazing bloggers who have commented and commented here on (un)Conventional Bookviews during 2014? I won’t keep you in suspense, here they are :

Comment Appreciation - (un)Conventional Bookviews

I’m sure you already know them, Brandee of Bookworm Brandee and I have become good friends, and we chat a lot! Braine of Talk Supe is amazing, her reviews always make me want to buy books, even for books she didn’t enjoy! Stormi @ Books, Movies, Reviews Oh My! is great, too, we participate in several challenge together, and she’s reading a lot of books that I haven’t heard of before. Brandi of Brandi Breathes Books always has a pertinent question at the end of her reviews, and Naomi @ Nomi’s Paranormal Palace is great at pushing ever more paranormal reads myself. Thank you so much for always taking the time to stop by and leave me a friendly comment, ladies! Please check out Donna’s Amazon page and let me know which book you prefer.

You should definitely check out their blogs, too, if you aren’t familiar with them. And if you are, I’m sure you understand why I want to show them some love.

Happy 2015! I hope it will be a year filled with love, good health, happiness, success, great books and strong friendships (both online, offline and bookish…)

  1. Lexxie, you are simply amazing! Not to mention wonderfully generous. Thank you so much for this. I’ve enjoyed your reviews, not only of my books, but of others I might not have seen otherwise. (Although I’m NOT reading right now. *cough* I’m writing. No, seriously. I am!) Thanks again. I’m working on a half a zillion different things for 2015 — and I’ve got my fingers crossed that you’ll find them enjoyable too. Happy New Year!

  2. Ahhh, your so sweet! Your blog rocks and that is why I love coming over here and commenting. You are a very sweet person and I am glad to have meet you through your blog and the fun challenges we undertake. 🙂 I haven’t heard of Donna Cummings but I see the first book in her series The Curse of True Love is in the box set I bought so I would love the second book in the series Lord Wastrel, seen your review on amazon and it sounds fun. 🙂 Thanks!! (hugs)

    • Oh yes! I’ll send you an e-mail with Lord Wastrel as attachment, Stormi 🙂 You can even use them for my 3HR in 3 Weeks challenge that starts next week 😉
I love that we’ve gotten to know each other thanks to our blogs, too! It’s so nice to have many bookish friends to discuss things with, especially because hardly any of my off-line friends read, and those who do don’t read the same genres as me at all…

  3. You know I”m just happy to have found you, oh so long ago, and discover we read so many of the same books. The rest is history, my friend. <3 I know I'll always find wonderful insightful reviews here – AND always add more books to my tbr or my shelves. 😉 Thanks for sharing your joy!!

And thanks for sharing Donna Cummings as well. Since you've tempted me into reading HR lately, I'd love to have Lord Midnight. 🙂 **BIG HUGS**

    • *BIG HUGS* I’m really happy we found each other, too, Brandee! And don’t fret, I add books almost every single time I visit your blog, too, my dear!
I’ll send you a copy of Lord Midnight right now. *BIG HUGS*

    • I know – Brandee is truly amazing! Those Jetpack stats are fun to look at, but it also really got me to think about how important it is that people actually take the time to stop by and comment – it always makes my day!
      Happy New Year, Lola 🙂

    • Of course, Berls, go right ahead 🙂 They are amazing, aren’t they? It always brightens my day to see their comments here.

    • Thank you, Melanie 🙂 I got to do two of my favorite things at the same time! Show that I care, and push one of my favorite author on these wonderful ladies 😉

  4. Lexxie…I have never visited your blog! *hangs head in shame* But I’ve always seen you on goodreads. 😉 But I’m here now, checking out your blog and seeing what you have to say. This will not be the last time you see me. That’s kinda my new year resolution is to visit new blogs and making more book friends!!! Happy New year! 🙂 PS: and because of this post I will be checking out the other blogs you mentioned….thank you! ♥

    • I know you from Goodreads, too, Cristina 🙂 And don’t worry about not visiting the blog – I know it’s not always easy to find the time, and on Goodreads everything is in the same place 🙂
I’m very happy to see you here, though 🙂 And of course, I’ll check out your blog as well.
      Happy New Year.

  5. LOL gee, Lexxie, you’re welcome re: buying books I didn’t enjoy.

So if Lord Midnight is stand-alone or book 1 of a series then I’d like to have that. Unless you have a better recommendation, of course. I’m not familiar with her work and I saw a lot of bodice ripping covers. I do want to read more historical romance this year.

    Happy 2015!

    • Lord Midnight is the first in a series, and I think you’d enjoy it, Braine. I’m glad I can push you to read at least one HR this year 😉
      Happy 2015 to you, too!
