The Sunday Post #95 – Wrapping it Up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

The Pokémon Go craze has caught up to me, and I’ve been having a lot of fun with the kids, chasing pokémons all over l’Estartit. There are a ton of Pokéstops close to our apartment, so we get a lot of Pokémons showing up inside 😀

I’ve had a great week with my family back here in Spain with me! We celebrated my husband’s 50th birthday on Tuesday, which seems completely unreal, but there you go 🙂 We had a fantastic day, fabulous dinner, and just a lot of fun and shenanigans 🙂

On Friday, we rented a boat and went out to the island we can see from the beach here to go tuba diving. The fish out there is extraordinary, and the water is so clear it seems like we can touch the bottom – but that is not the case at all. While we were out there, a fire started on the mountain where we enjoy going on hikes, around 4pm, and at 9:35 pm, there were still some small fires going across the side of the mountain, getting dangerously close to the houses up there 🙁

This week’s Freddy in action:

That’s actually it… I have a lot of pics where he’s moving just as I click… and so, his head is missing, and that just won’t do, right?

I haven’t been online much at all… as you can see with both my posts for this week, and how few I have planned for next week… I’ve been way too busy having fun in the real world.

Did you get some good books last week? What have you been up to this past week? Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’ve enjoyed your week, and that next week will be filled with awesome!

  1. You do sound like you’re having fun and I don’t blame you in the least for checking out on the on-line world to celebrate your husband’s birthday and go on such fun family outings.

Looks like you have some good books to enjoy when things quiet down.

    Have a good week, Lexxie!

  2. Freddie looks like he’s just chilling there. 🙂 Glad you guys had a great trip to that island- how fun would that be? Love clear water and just being out there- so relaxing. Kinda scary about the fires though? Hope no one was injured or lost their homes…

Have a great week, and happy Poke- hunting. 🙂

  3. *waves to Freddy* That’s the one thing about a warmer climate…the danger of fires. I was in Cape Town one year when there were a lot of fires and it was terrible. Hope the damage was limited. Enjoy your books!

  4. I can’t believe that I forgot to put on It Ends With Us. I also received that book this week. Can’t wait for a bit of CoHo! 🙂 Enjoy your books!

  5. Happy 50th to your husband! Sounds like you guys had a blast of a celebration. And oh the island and the diving in clear water sound like so much fun. I was hoping to go to the beach before I go back, but it’s too cold to swim, so I might have to just go “watch” instead.
I hope you enjoy your books this week and Freddie is looking just as cute as ever! 🙂
    Have a great weekend!

  6. Freddie is just an active dog. He looks cute. Looks like you had a great time in Spain. The covers for your books look terrific.

  7. I’m curious about The Fifth Letter…and I also got a copy of It Ends with Us. Can’t wait to read it.

    Adorable Freddy!

As for Pokemon Go, my young adult grandchildren were talking about it during our recent lunch. A definite new craze.

    Enjoy your week!

  8. Happy birthday to your hubby. Always lovely to take a break from online now and again, it’s very restorative. And I checked out The Fifth Letter on GR, sounds thrilling. Enjoy and happy Pokemon hunting!

  9. You had such great week, that’s fantastic! Happy birthday to the mister!

My whole family is playing Pokemon Go. I’m the only one who isn’t and I will not be peer pressured! lol

  10. Oh my goodness, when I saw you mention of Pokemon Go just now, it suddenly jogged my memory and I realized I had a dream that involved Pokemon Go last night or something lol. I’ve never even played, and somehow it’s become such a craze that it ended up in my dream.

I’m glad you’ve been having fun with your family! But oh no, that fire doesn’t sound good :-/

Stay safe and have a great week!

  11. Happy belated b-day to the hubby! Glad you all are having such a great time, Lexxie. Except the fire, that’s not good. Enjoy your books. The Fifth Letter sounds interesting.

  12. I know what you mean, dogs are hard to take pictures of! I have have had my dog for (I think) four years now, and I have (I think) seven decent pictures of him. Oh well, dogs just love to move around. I’m glad that you had some fun with your family, but I still haven’t downloaded Pokemon Go yet! I just really don’t want to run around my town. Some would call me lazy, but I call myself a lover of under using my legs. Have a good week. 🙂

  13. Ahhhh, the Real World!!! LOVE IT!!! Your little spot in Spain sounds absolutely heavenly!! Tell the hubs, “Happy Birthday” from me!! And I saw the pics of the water there this past week and it does look so pretty… is it cold, though?

Uh, oh… a CoHo book… I’ll have to see what you think about this one. You’re just shy of my age so I’m so curious what your take will be 😉

    Have another fabulous week!!!!

  14. Oh no Pokemon has caught you too…lol. It only caught me for about a week and then I uninstalled. I just live to out in the country and I am not going to drive all over to find a cartoon critter…lol. I do think it’s good for family fun though.

You got a lot of great books and I hope you enjoy them (I know you enjoyed at least one of them already…lol).

    Happy reading!

  15. I’m so glad you are enjoying your vacation!! I can’t want to see what you think of Risk by Dannika Dark. I enjoy her books!
    Freddy is so stinking cute!!!
    Have a great week!

  16. Sounds like you have been having a great time lately. I am tempted to start with PokemonGo, but I am already really busy. I don’t need one more thing trying to take all my time. It looks and sounds fun though. Scary about the fire, I hope they got it contained. My Miguel turned 5`1 this year, I always pick on him for being so old (there are 11 years between us). It is kinda freaky to be a half a century old. Have a great week!

  17. I love my weekly Freddy picture! Happy birthday to your husband! Mine turns 46 at the end of the month and I think he’s struggling with it a bit! Pokemon Go is a lot of fun. I don’t care anything about the fighting but I do get excited when I (oops I mean my 6 year old) stumbles across one we don’t already have! I hope the fires settle down and stay far away from residences. That sounds scary! Have a great week!

  18. It sounds like you are doing well and having a great time. 🙂 Happy birthday to your husband! My Riley never was good at posing for pics either. Always moving. Love the picture of Freddy. I hope you have wonderful week, Lexxie!

  19. Happy Birthday to your husband! Time does fly by fast lol. Sounds like you are having a great time. I hope they were able to control the fire, that is really scary. Have a great week!

  20. Sounds like you’ve had a great week. I hope that the firefighters got the fires out before they got too close to those houses. I hope you have another great week. I’ve not be around blogs as much as I would like either. My FIL is downsizing, so there are garage sales and moving stuff. I have a barn that is being built soon, so we’ve been cutting down a few trees and planting some to replace them in other locations. It’s summer, so I think everyone is outside more than normal.

  21. Can I just say that the cover for This is Not Over is wickedly pretty–I don’t know what it is about it but I’m digging it completely! Anyways, hopefully you’re in the process of having a great week! And happy belated birthday to your husband!

  22. The birthday celebrations, Spain and everything sound just lovely Lexxie ♥ I admit I’m curious about Pokemon Go but I’m scared that I’ll get REALLY addicted so I’m holding off LOL! Freddy is as adorable as every though 🙂 Have a lovely week my friend!

  23. My kids are always looking away when I try to take pictures so I’ve stopped trying, same goes for my cat.
Your trip sounds so fun, I just got back from a trip last month and I already want to go back! Enjoy your new books!
