The month of March is almost over, and it’s time to share some of those new release reviews, and have a chance to win some GCs in the 1Q New Release Challenge giveaway. It would be nice to see how you’re doing, and if you’re on track and happy with the New Releases you have read so far.
So far in 2016, I have read 26 new releases, which is pretty much on track for me as I have challenged myself to read 100 new releases this year. Most of those books have been very enjoyable, which definitely encourages me to continue, and motivates me to pick up more new releases as well. One of my favorite new releases was Fighting Dirty by Lori Foster, and another was He Will Be My Ruin by K.A. Tucker. Two very different books, but both were so well written, and kept me at the edge of my seat throughout the whole story!
2016 New Release Challenge 1Q Giveaway
You can come back to tweet about the challenge giveaway every day for extra entries, and the giveaway is open until April 10th, 2016.
I hope you’ve had fun with the challenge so far, and you’ve all made me add some more books to my own shelves with your reviews. It’s all in good fun, and I enjoy finding new books I think I’ll like.
Oh man! I was in a blogging slump in January, and I hadn’t discovered your blog yet:/ The next challende you host, I WILL BE THERE!
26 NEW RELEASES? OOOOH. SO GREAT! Keep up the AWESOME reading!A
That’s OK, Aditi, I’m pretty sure we’ll host a new release challenge next year as well 🙂 It’s a lot of fun!
HI Lexxie,
I am on schedule so far, but can´t post my reviews yet due to some rules German publishers have set for us reviewers here. They don´t want us to publish a review before the book is actually available in stores. So I have to wait with my english reviews not only till the book is actually in stores, but also till the German review I wrote about it, is on that literature portal that asked the publisher so sent me a reviewer´s copy. So sometimes it takes really quite some time between reading, reviewing and the publishing of that review.
If you have a favorite book that you haven’t been able to review yet, you can link to your goodreads review that’s only a couple of words if you want, Vi. That way, you get your entries in the giveaway 🙂
Good to know. I see what I can do – without risking my privilege here to receive reviewer´s copies *smile*. And the year has still a few months´ left, so I am not to worried about this challenge here 🙂

Your doing really well with your challenge. 🙂
Yeah, new releases are an addiction to me 😉
Sounds like you are doing great with the challenge! 2016 has had a lot of great books so far.
True, I have read several really good new releases so far, and I sure hope that continues!
I managed to read 16 new releases so far, so I am doing great as my goal was 31-45 books per year – New Release Veteran. I am really happy about my progress so far!
My favourite new release so far is probably The Daydreamer Detective by SJ Pajonas. Or A Disguise to Die for by Diane Vallere or Tea with Milk and Murder by H.Y. Hanna, both were two great cozy mysteries. And the fourth Amanda Lester book was great too, arg can’t decide. I had quite some great 4 star new releases so far.
Awesome, Lola. You are dong really well. And you reminded me I want to read more SJ Pajonas 🙂
I’ve only read and reviewed 9 so far but I’ve actually read 11 since I beta read 2 which haven’t released yet. It’s kind of a toss-up for me as to my favorite so far but since one of my favs was a novella, I went with the one that was a novel… Getting Rough by CL Parker. (the novella is Unraveled by Jennifer Dawson) You’re doing really well so far, Lexxie! But then, that’s not surprising since you’re a New Release Enthusiast!! 😉
**BIG HUGS**
Beta-reading is fun! But it does take longer than reading just for pleasure, right?
I keep adding more and more books to my shelves, so it’s definitely a good thing I read so fast 🙂 *BIG HUGS*
I hope to read He Will Be My Ruin sometime soon! Looks like you’re doing a great job on your challenge.
Oh Lauren, I hope you’ll enjoy He Will Be My Ruin as much as I did!
Sounds like you’re doing great with your challenge 🙂 Luckily, I’m not doing this one… I’d be so far behind!!
This is one of the few challenges I know I’ll do well on, Danielle 🙂 Thanks for stopping by.
I can’t believe I have only reviewed ONE new release so! Now that NetGalley is my BFF I have tons of ARCs so I’ll be posting much more. TOMORROW Will be the second one. The book release and review of the Demonist! 70% done and LOVING IT. Thanks for hosting it Lexxie!
Ha! That’s OK, Daniela 🙂 And I know the feeling – NetGalley may ruin me… I do love getting my hands on new books before they are released.
It was really tough picking a favourte! I have so many (including Rock now I’ve read that!). So far I’ve managed to read 25 new releases so it’s going well!
That’s great, Laura, and I’m so happy you continue loving Huss’ stories 😀
Hello! Long time no talk! I was so happy when I saw your comment on my blog. I must admit that I don’t have much time anymore to visit blogs, but I always comment back. Nice style (even though it didn’t change that much).
I think I read something like 24 new releases this year. I remember last year it was sort of a challenge to read as many as possible, but now I’m picking them more carefully. You’re doing great!
I know the feeling, Lola. It is definitely hard sometimes to make the time to visit everyone 🙂
I don’t try to read as many new releases as possible, but since I tend to read quite a few, a challenge to keep me on track is just what I need. And picking carefully is a must!
My favourite new release so far is Flawed by Cecelia Ahern. I’ve read 7 new releases so far, so I think I’m doing a pretty good pace for my target of 16-30. I do have a lot of Netgalley reads in the next couple of months too so that will definitely push me forward a bit.
That’s great, Lauren, you’re right on track! I need to check out Flawed, I guess, if it’s your favorite so far 🙂
I am at 43 new releases so far! My favorite has been Every Heart A Doorway by Seanan McGuire. It was great, haunting, full of diversity and very intriguing.
Oh my goodness, Laura! That’s a lot of new releases. Every Heart a Doorway has been on my wishlist since I first heard of it!
I was a bit surprised to see that I’ve only read 13 new releases so far this year. But I’m on track to hit my goal, so that’s good.
13 is very respectable, though, Mark 🙂 I’m glad you’re on track to hit your goal!
So far this year I’ve actually only managed four! I’ve enjoyed most of them though, so that;s good! Here’s my wrap-up for March (which includes my total so far). Thanks for hosting this!

It’s definitely good that you’ve enjoyed most of your new releases, Katrina!
