15 Day Book Blogger Challenge – Day 8

15 Day Challenge - (un)Conventnional BookviewsWelcome to my Day 8 of the Book Blogger Challenge. This challenge is hosted by April at Good Books and Good Wine, and you can sign up there using her linky for each post. It’s a really good way to get to know other bloggers better, and so far, I have found that I’m getting to know myself better as well πŸ˜€

Today’s challenge is the following:

Quick! Write 15 bullet points of things that appeal to you on blogs!

  1. Light colours
  2. Dark coloured writing
  3. Fonts that are easy to read
  4. Reviews
  5. Giveaways
  6. Participation
  7. Original header
  8. Original avatar
  9. Organized
  10. Easy to navigate
  11. Friendly
  12. Original content

I can’t come up with more than these 12, I don’t know why. But I really did it quickly, just like April asked. I think for me, it’s really important that it’s easy to read the content on a blog, I sometimes spend a very long time in front of the computer, and flashing lights make me tired for example.

Were you able to come up with 15 points for today’s challenge? I need to go find that linky so I can check it out, since I’m a few days late now… I’ve been feeling pretty lazy, it’s warm outside, the kids and I are all off from school, and we’re just chilling.

Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Jaz

I think those are all really good points!

If a blog is easy to read that immediately calls my attention too.

Blogs that are too busy and have a million colours with those elaborate fonts just hurt my eyes and I can’t concentrate on posts.

    • Yeah, I get distracted too… I try to keep my own blog easy to navigate and easy on the eyes, but I know I sometimes just feel like adding a cool widget.

      Thanks for stopping by Jaz!

    • Me too! I love your blog because it is so different from all other blogs I visit! You are very original, and your picture-reviews are the best πŸ™‚

      Thanks for stopping by πŸ™‚

    • I was way behind as well, but I’ve written my challenge posts until Sunday and scheduled them – because tomorrow morning, I’m going to Paris for five days πŸ˜€
I’m also behind on reviews, though… I need to crunch some out today!
Really, yellow font on a black background?
Thanks for stopping by Stormi πŸ™‚

  2. The blog being easy to read and nice on the eyes is definitely an important point. If a blog isn’t pleasant to look at you might not even finishing reading the post or feel tempted to comment, especially if it ends up hurting one’s eyes. Blah.

Friendliness and participation are also really important points. Same with original content. I always think it’s important to get to know the blogger behind the blog and be able to interact with them. πŸ™‚

    • I agree, Alice, participation is really important to me as well πŸ™‚ I love getting to know other book bloggers, and the comment section is a great place to do that πŸ™‚

      Thanks for stopping by!

  3. I like your 12, Lexxie. I was trying to think of anything else I would add…I think I like a simpler design. But I guess that could fall under organized. Hmm… πŸ™‚

I’m glad you’re enjoying some relaxing time and hanging out with your kids. I’m trying to do that as well. It seems the summer will be over all too soon. Enjoy your day, Lexxie! *hugs*
